All I'm talking about is natural size buddy. Floyd and Pac are only 2-3 years apart in age. At the same age (16) they were fighting in roughly the same division. And in their mid 30s, they're still fighting in the same division. One shouldn't be more glorified than the other where it comes to fighting "bigger guys." Its not that deep.

Right, and Duran is the same size as Hagler. I bet Hagler could make 135 when he was 16, also. Why does Floyd call Pac "midget" anyway? Sounds like he disagrees with you.

Dude this is a simple point. Floyd faces world class guys at 16 > he never lasts to become what he's become. Fighting tough comp before you've matured physically and mentally puts wear on those tires, and risks early losses to guys who are many talent brackets below.

this is a lie, i was around the forums at that time and if anyone didn't want the fight it was the floyd fans who would just go on about "what's the point, floyd would clown him anyway" and would parade around the forum all happy and sht everytime the fight failed to pull through

there were as many people saying this as there were manny fans who agreed with manny's decision not to fight in 09 over the ped testing.

you and others have pointed out there was one manny fan who clearly didn't want the fight to happen-Bob Arum.

I say forget that whole Manny vs Floyd, who's better crap.. because they've both ducked, they've both cherry picked, they've both avoided each other.. some because of greed, or fear, pride or all of the above.. Manny was a well protected fighter who couldn't speak for himself and avoided the biggest fight of his life. Yes, he was highly entertaining and deserved many of the accolades he received. But he was never going to beat Floyd. Many of Manny's fans hoped he would never have to face Floyd.

its not the fight that defined floyd but it is the fight that changed the floyd/manny dynamic

Triangle theories dont work so floyd beating JMM the way he did doesn't men he would beat manny the same. But it did make people wonder if he was the guy to beat floyd. Piggybacking of rome by ko's post-people hated floyd and wanted someone to beat the **** out of him. Since manny was koing fighters hard people elevated him to that spot (see Matthysse, Lucas for a modern day replica)

But, after the JMM fight fewer people thought Manny had the tools to beat floyd because he was struggling (the majority thought losing to) with JMM and floyd dominated JMM with such ease.
