Pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. says Manny Pacquiao was never as good as the media made him out to be. Mayweather points to Pacquiao's recent back to back defeats to Tim Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez - and then points to past comments from press members who felt Pacquiao was on Mayweather's level or even better.

For at least four years, or more, there have been discissions about a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight, but the deal never happened for one reason or another. Mayweather does not expect a fight with Pacquiao to ever happen down the road.

Man Floyd Let Manny live.. LOL I think Manny running through guys out weighing him by 10 to 15lbs on fight night is what put him on Floyd's level. Catch weight or not. They were still bigger than him. Plus a fighter like Manny getting beat isn't all that surprising because he fights to win not to lose. Its difference.

Why even respond to the dude? Anyone who says 2 lbs is a "mega CW fight" and especially after Canelo said the 2 lbs are no biggy, is simply a hater.

He, like most of us realize Mayweather will win regardless of the weight, but this gives all of these clowns something to cry about now.

I don't know. I don't run in boxing circles, and neither do you. So I don't know what kinda rumors were circulating inside of boxing about Pac, and potential PED use. I do know this. When the accusations first started, I was totally dismissive of them. But, the way resisted the testing did raise my eyebrow. And, I had no clue PED use was so rampant in boxing. But since Floyd came out with accusations, fighter after fighter has been caught and Pac hasn't appeared to be the same.

Cotto wasnt really proven at 54 so i wouldnt disagree with you there... but at the time it was the best fight....

Marquez was at a catchweight and looked fine vs Pacquiao just this year, Ortiz sucks and wont disgree there... Berto always has been overrated. I dont disagree with anything you said, but all those fighters floyd fought were coming off their biggest wins, not losses. so whats your point?

Oh Lordie... so what was Cottos biggest win? you talking to the biggest Cotto fan out there... only other win i could think of is the Mosley win... Margarito was big cause we all thought he cheated... and i ll be honest Margarito had his best round in the 10th when they stopped the fight, i was happy they stopped it.... I dont have a problem being as honest as i can be.. Cotto was going to have trouble in the 11th and 12th rounds if Pacquiao didnt break Margaritos eye the fight before. Catch weight fight as well... lol....

Marquez took long to grow into WW? Really? Floyd went up 2 divisions to beat Oscar when they fought.. Duran went up 2 divisions to beat up Leonard their first fight... i aint buying that.

JMM is not better at 40 than he was at 38. JMM looked crappy at welter because he was fighting Floyd. He looked good in his other welterweight fights because he wasn't fighting Floyd. Get over it.
