EXACTLY! Until now I still DO NOT understand why alot of these Floyd nuthuggers can't see this. The argument is less about catchweights but more about Floyd's HYPOCRISY.

It just drives me insane whenever I see some of these nuthuggers defend Floyd by saying **** like "Why was it ok for paclovers to do catchweights, but now it's not ok for Floyd???"

          BECAUSE THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!!

The point is...FLOYD IS A HYPOCRITE....HYPOCRITE! For insulting Pac's catchweight fights FIRST! And Floyd made this such a big issue to discredit Pac's wins. Floyd brought it up, and his fans believed it.

I'm yet to see any hardcore Floyd fans here to admit Floyd is a damn HYPOCRITE!

It's like some of these guys doesn't know what the word 'HYPOCRITE' means

As a fan you are entitled to your individual opinion as to who is 1 and who is 2. But when you have a JOB in the field you are expected to have credibility. when you are arguing on NSB you don't.

The floyd/manny debate is no different than floyd/ward today. Ward very well could be #1 and has done enough to earn the spot. But when you review panels of voters floyd continuosly retains the #1 spot. That should factor in.

wish they had fought and took all this out of it.

what we do know is right now Manny getting KTFO is the signature event of his career. Just like "down goes frazier" and "no mas" the words "he's not getting up Jim" will ALWAYS be associated with manny. Maybe manny creates another memorable moment he gets remebered for.

But if knocking ali down and beating SRL are the 2nd most memorable events in frazier and duran's respective careers-short of KTFO of floyd -what can manny possibly do that will be more memorable than being face down?
The signature of Manny career is moving up to welterweight and scaring th ***** out of Floyd then winning fighter of the decade and leaving Floyd in the dust.

I think it's all a wash.....both fighters are great. I'm not into the who is better argument because I really cannot say who accomplished more.....it's too subjective.....and sometimes it does come down to who is more beloved. Floyd shot himself in the foot and lost hope of being adored by all when he said he was better than Ali and insulted Ray Leonard and Larry Holmes. And the things he said to Oscar would make Mayorga blush. He isolated himself from adoration and continued with the things he said about Pac and the Korean Basketball player. Pac is no saint, that is for damn sure but Pac doesn't shoot himself in the foot with outragious comments. How people see these guys is filtered to some extent by their personna......but arguments to who is better is subjective.

So Pac his ass kissed for fighting as high as jr middleweight (kinda) because he was fighting as a professional flyweight at 16. But Floyd gets no love for fighting as high as jr middleweight when at the at of 16, he was fighting as a 106lb amateur. I don't see the difference between the two. Sorry.
