In just 1 Mega Catchweight spectacle, Floyd's contesting for more CW belts that Pac ever did his entire career, including the big one: The Lineal Belt, at a Catchweight. That's what makes Floyd the CW King (or CW Queen, if you prefer).

If that's not enough, Pac asked for his 1st CW in his 7th division, some 10 divisions above his starting weight. Floyd couldn't go 5 without needing one.

I understand the styles of the two fighters and that tthey dominate their opponents in different ways. When Floyd dominates a guy, he's gonna take his time, outbox him, and is happy to coast to a decision. And if the KO comes it comes and will probably come late. When Pac dominates a guy, he's usually gonna blow him out. So stopping someone earlier is pretty much irrelevant.

That said, if you wanna say Pac did "better" against some of their common opponents that's fine. But the fact is, the guys Pac did better against still LOST to Floyd. Floyd set CompuBox records for connects and connects against a younger version of the JMM that left Pac motionless on the canvas. So again, its an apples and oranges conversation.

well the panels that voted p4p lists-guys who are not partisan fans- continuosly voted floyd in the top spot. even guys who had valid reasons to despise floyd still wouldn't risk their credibility by voting manny #1. when the fight was close to signing-floyd was the betting favorite. so clearly outside of NSB there was a 1 and a 2.
the truth is we will never know who should be number 1 and who should have been number 2.

You do realize that when Floyd was 16, he was fighting at 106 in the amateurs don't you.

Seriously??? Going by that, Paul Spadafora is greater than a number of HOF fighters.

Floyd never fighting Pacquiao and letting Marquez take the glory is what fans will remember, only a small handful of racist black power flowmos will say other wise. Pacquiao will be remembered as a warrior who was never afraid to go out on his shield to please the fans and to give a good fight, the most exciting fighter in the 2000's.
the truth is Manny only got KTFO by JMM because cotto wouldn't agree to another CW. We don't know how floyd or manny will be remembered because their careers haven't ended.

what we do know is right now Manny getting KTFO is the signature event of his career. Just like "down goes frazier" and "no mas" the words "he's not getting up Jim" will ALWAYS be associated with manny. Maybe manny creates another memorable moment he gets remebered for.

But if knocking ali down and beating SRL are the 2nd most memorable events in frazier and duran's respective careers-short of KTFO of floyd -what can manny possibly do that will be more memorable than being face down?

                    Oh so its like that?

I ain't even pinoy and im American and I watched Pacquiao since his early days in America. You do realize the majority of Pacquiao fans happen to be Mexicans and non filipino right? Pacquiao's fan base has always been Mexicans they ordered all his PPV's since he was a featherweight, when Pac fought Oscar his fanbase grew to Whites, blacks, and other Americans. Filipinos ain't even a huge enough base in America to make a difference in PPV. Pacman appeals to everyone his style is what lures people to him. But you probably dont like him because he isn;t the same race as you.

So whats wrong with his own people rooting for him, did you have a problem with the floyd fans who are black and ate up everything Floyd say about being the greatest? I bet not.

You might be one of those black power flowmos. Always bringing up ****** race ****.

Yes we do. Because if you look at it rationally, Pac isn't even in the discussion for best of the era. Paper trinkets and hype machine aside, JMM and Pac were very much equals throughout their careers. Floyd is clearly the other top guy of the era. As it stands now, JMM has trumped Pac in their rivalry. Therefore we got our #1 v #2 of the era when Floyd fought JMM and we got a clear winner. We just didn't recognize it as such at the time. Just like we didn't recognize that RJ-B-Hop was 1 v 2 of their era when they fought.
