What I can't understand for the life of me is how people like yourself criticize Floyd for fighting someone like Guerrero, who hadn't been beaten in years, and was Floyd's best option at welterweight. And simultaneously massage Manny's balls for fighting a guy like Rios, who's not even a top 5 jr welterweight and is coming off a loss. The rational behind that is just crazy to me.
BTW, I didn't say Alvarado would beat Pac. I said it would have been more noble of Pac to fight the winner of Alvarado-Rios rather than the loser. Just like when he fought the loser of Mosley-Margarito and Floyd fought the winner. Yet Manny was praised and Floyd was criticized. Like I said, the rational is just nuts to me.
Manny fights guys coming off of losses more than any top fighter in recent memory. Yet his fans still suck him off.....it does get annoying.
Manny was hyped by the media when floyd "retired" but that in no way negates the fact Manny earned his place in history. But his fans and the media never analyze the fighters the same way. Manny gets a pass on many things because he acts like a gentleman. Maybe floyd could've had same if he chose that route.
Floyd went out and made his own path, getting more money for himself and taking it away from the promoters. He fought in a style that preserved his talents rather than stand and **** which makes for better TV. He puts himself ahead of the sport and his well being over the sports well being. His attacks on his contemporaries have ranged from hysterically funny to dehumanizing. He makes people loathe him and then gives them ammunition to use against him. So its not surprising that people desperately want someone else to occupy the top spot in the sport-even if that fighter is inferior.

He's not(or at least wasnt) inferior though, was he? The only people that said he was were almost overwhelmingly bumsniffing ******s.
I'm not a pacquiao fan, and thats something else flom's tend to do. If you arent pro floyd, you must be pro-manny. I'm pro- boxing personally, Manny is just the more accomplished and appreciated fighter and he is on the back of what he has done. Floyd had his chances to strive for greatness but went for the money instead, and good luck to him, just dont try telling anyone who actually knows the sport that Floyd has accomplished more because its ridiculous. That crap might float on f-hype or world star, but thats about it.
Well since you know so much about the sport I got a lil game for ya. For every Pacquaio win, I'll match you with a Floyd win. And let's see who runs out first. Your go.
