Actually, Thurman's next fight is the the mandatory shot at Broner's welterweight trinket.

The reality is, Garcia isn't gonna beat Broner or Matthysse. So GBP is probably looking to cash him out. Floyd and Broner offer the biggest events to cash Danny out. That's why a Matthysse fight doesn't really make all that much sense for him right now, from a business standpoint of course.

As for Matthysse, unfortunately for him, he doesn't bring much to the table.he doesn't bring much money to the table. And he doesn't even have a belt. So there's really no need for any of the top guys like Floyd, Broner, or even a Garcia to fight him. A Maidana fight, especially in Argentina would be huge. It would produce probably the Fight of the Year and possibily the KO of the Year. And create even more buzz for Lucas heading into 2014.

You may get your Broner-Maidana match-up. But I doubt very seriously that Garcia is gonna fight anyone with a pulse not named Floyd Mayweather or Adrien Broner in the near future. So that's gonna leave your man in the cold for the foreseeable future. So if they can't sell Matthysse-Maidana, especially in the near future, its gonna be the bum-of-the-month club for Mr Lucas. Are you talking about Ajose Olsegun? The whole NSB is talking about Lucas. Also, he is now under Al Haymon, someone elite will fight him soon or later. If Matthysse doesn't get Broner or Garcia next, I think Maidana at 147 makes the most sense for obvious reasons.

GBP and TR are fantastic at moving their chess pieces around in a way that always covers their investments. Let Matthysse/Maidana kill each other in a FOTY to make the fans happy and protect Broner/Garcia. They've been trying to push them together for a while now, but I don't think it's gonna happen cuz neither guy is that interested.

Regardless of what Paulie Malignaggi says, Al Haymon aint runnin' ****. No matter how great his influence is, GBP is gonna make the call on this one. Danny Garcia is a freakin' bum and they're looking to cash his ass out. And they're gonna cash him out in the biggest event possible. Floyd will have first dibs. If Floyd don't want him, Broner will get him. And that's just reality. They are not gonna let Danny get knocked out by Lucas in a half empty arena for lil or no money. When they could use him in major events with one of their two biggest stars.

And since that's the case, the best option out there for Matthysse will be Maidana. Whether it be this fall or next spring/summer, in which case he'd be coming off a loss to Broner.
