How does GBP justify linking Garcia/Matthysse together for almost a year and then all of a sudden adding Broner into the equation? Broner follows up one title opportunity he doesn't deserve, with....another title opportunity he doesn't deserve? I mean dayum lol. Adrien Broner, 4 titles in 4 weights classes at the age of 23, oh lawd.
As for my stance on Broner-Garcia, AB going for a title in a 4th division and the trash talk that would inevitabley happen between the camps would make for a better promotion than either against Matthysse, who to my knowledge isn't fluent in English. Broner is a much bigger draw than Lucas. And Lucas doesn't even bring a belt to the table. Which is meaningless when it comes to Garcia-Matthysse. But explains why it would make more sense for Broner to drop down and fight Garcia rather than Matthysse. The 4th world title attempt would make for a more intriguing storyline.

Fans saying crap like it's a business!!! Yes a business where u are paying ur money for, and getting a crap product in return = fight.
In the end, if you feel like you're getting a crap product don't pay your money. Fans complain as if these people are forcing you to buy their product.
And in order to make sense of a lot of the moods that are made, you have to think like a promoter. That comes from being a long time fan. Would it be nice to live in a world where a boxer looking for an opponent picked up the latest version of Ring magazine and went after the best available guy. But that's not always the best career move. So why rack your brain worrying about who's ducking whom. Its not always ducking. Sometimes the fight fans want most just doesn't make sense at the moment.

There will be no bigger stage in boxing than Floyd-Canelo. And Mosley is a big name among casual fans. Just like Canelo fighting Mosley on the Floyd-Cotto undercard went a long way in crossing him over and making him an attraction that's gonna do monster numbers with Floyd. But the only way Broner-Mosley makes sense is on THAT card.

Saying all of that, I still think Garcia would be classified as ducking. Broner might be a bigger fight, but Mayweather IS the fight that everyone from 135-160 wants, so I couldn't be mad at Garcia if he takes advantage of that once-in-lifetime opportunity. Garcia/Broner/Matthysse are on the B-level, with Broner's hype outdoing the quality of opposition he's faced.

Either way, if Garcia went ahead with the Judah fight, he'd be stepping dangerously close to the duckzone. The only way I wouldn't ultimately classify it as a duck is if Danny ended up being Floyd's next opponent. Then it would be Danny simply held out for the ultimate prize. Of course, if he does rematch Judah, I'm sure we'll hear that Judah beat Matthysse about a million times in the promotion. LOL!!
