Who should Adrien Broner fight NEXT? Fans can choose!

even if Mayweather + Pacquiao were on this poll, let's be real—did Broner do enough last night to make you want to see him in there with the two future HOFers? Nah.
Let's see him in there with Maidana, that should be an interesting scrap.

I have an issue with the poll and I see a trend emerging.

Matthysse, great fighter, like the choice, I can live with it.


But the next 2 fighters with the highest votes in the poll are Maidana and Thurman. 2 limited fighters that will be standing in front of Broner making it very easy on him.

This is why Floyd made millions of dollars beating up guys who never stood a chance against him. Fans hype up these hard hitting action fighters and when they step up to the elite level, they just get thoroughly outclassed.

Broner struggled with Ponce De Leon and Malignaggi. Both of these fighters didn't stand in front of him, confused him with movement and made him adjust. Maidana and Thurman do not have the ability to do that.

Just because Floyd was succesfull against these type of opponents doesn't mean broner will do the same, I think Alexander is a way better boxer (not as exciting) then broner and look at the hard time he had with Mathysse, style makes fight and I think he will have problems with these type of styles because he gets hit allot.

I don't put Matthysse in that category. He can counter, he has good timing and he is exceptional at making adjustments in the ring. He's only crude when he smells blood.

Maidana and Thurman though? I'll take the faster, quicker, more athletic, stronger, more skilled Broner with ease. He will be comfortable, do what he does best and will not need to adjust.

I think Broner stands a good chance at beating him, but then again doesn't deserve the payday or the visability that fight would bring.

Paulie is slick, crafty, fast and did a good job at attacking at awkward angles. Maidana is slow, crude and will be standing right in front of them. Paulie made Broner have to make adjustments which he is not comfortable doing. Broner will be comfortable and do whatever he wants to do against Maidana.

Broner will land whatever he wants and will see everything that Maidana fires at him. He is faster, more athletic, accurate and has good timing.

Power and chins don't win fights.

Its funny.. when I looked at the list I thought to myself yeah I want to see Matthysse/Maidana KO this hype and then after looking at the rest of the list I realised they would all beat Broner.

I have a feeling the trash talk between Paulie and Broner will continue and they will fight again. Also I could see Broner looking for a CW this time around, he hinted at dropping back down. I think the rematch will be "demanded" based on the BS out of the ring in the coming weeks.
