  • People trying to waste our time with Thurman, abregu, khan, Ortiz, etc.

Mayweather, pacquiao, matthysse, maidana....I'd like to see a fight made from these opponents. Pacquiaos probably out of the question being top rank, mayweather won't be happening ATM, so between matthysse and maidana...I suspect the 'easier' road to be chosen, maidana. Its a Hell of a fight IMO. Maidana can **** and eat shots, broner would be in for a long night.

    • This poll is invalid. There is no two biggest names in the sport on there!

Matthysse, great fighter, like the choice, I can live with it.

But the next 2 fighters with the highest votes in the poll are Maidana and Thurman. 2 limited fighters that will be standing in front of Broner making it very easy on him.

This is why Floyd made millions of dollars beating up guys who never stood a chance against him. Fans hype up these hard hitting action fighters and when they step up to the elite level, they just get thoroughly outclassed.

Broner struggled with Ponce De Leon and Malignaggi. Both of these fighters didn't stand in front of him, confused him with movement and made him adjust. Maidana and Thurman do not have the ability to do that.
Unfortunately I'm not allowed to give you any more karma. Excellent post though, and I've noticed the same thing. It's like boxing fans fall into the same trap over and over and over again.

          • People are saying maidana,Thurman and maybe Lucas would be easy work for Broner because they just stand there, but Broner does exactly the same, he is very stationary and easy to hit at times.

Maidana and Lucas love a stationary target, especially one like Broner who sometimes only throw about 8 shots in a round. Broner hasn't shown he has equal power to a Lucas.Maidana/Thurman so why would it automatically be easy work?.

It could be,but who knows until he fights a 140/147 puncher but to me Broner gets hit too much for anyone to just say Broner beats these guys easy.

            • maidana please. matthysse has business with garcia. i really think maidana could knock broner out. i already said so before last night, and now i'm even more confident.

I agree. Broner against Alexander or Guerrero would be far more interesting.

                • Let's keep it realistic and not play games, take out all the top rank fighters because we allready know these fights are not happening.
