I'll let you guys scour the boxing forums for comments BEFORE Floyd fought the top opponents he faced at the time. Many thought Floyd would get KO'd and lose the "0". He disappointed many of them.

Floyd's faced opponents coming off of WINS who held title belts at the time they fought and then beat them ALL and snatched their belts.

Today he's considered P4P the best AND the highest paid athlete.

I know that hurts to read, but it's just reality.

      LOL? me hurting? hell no.

You're projecting . Floyd apologist are the ones who are hurting when true boxing fans point out he ducked the whole welterweight division when it was filled with prime fighters. That is indisputable. sorry to burst your bubble, i couldnt care less if floyd is ppv#1 that doesnt change the fact he ducked a lot of fighters and that is gonna hurt what is left of his "what if he had the heart to fight ____name of a prime fighter. Sorry.

For you and the TS to make those comments, it means you put Mayweather at a much higher pedestal than the fans do, and it's insane how many don't even realize that. Which is why I said Mayweather was overrated in all actuality. If facing top ranked opponents within your division is cherry picking, then Mayweather is overrated.
They may as well blame him for making it look too easy -or- for his opponents not following through on their promises to finally give Floyd his first loss.

If Floyd beats Canelo, they'll just come back with a thread about why Floyd won't fight Martinez or Haye or Fury.

Mosley,Ghost, oriz, and cotto with there pressure/brawler type style are tailor made for technician like floyd and anyone that tries to argue against that knows **** about boxing.

I am puzzeld and lost for words to why he chose canelo, maybe he got tired of himslef picking soft apponents.
See floyd is the only that knows if he is picking softer apponents or not, maybe he wants to prove to himself that he is the alpha.

Anyway you cut it floyd is going in against a young prime, sharp shooter, with Huge power that also happens tp be a tecnician that can pace himself.
He is soo far from being on of floyds normal bullrushing comforward apponents as you can get.

I think floyd made a mistake taking this fight
Canelo doesn't pace himself well enough despite choosing his punches wisely. Take Broner for example, Broner looks to touch his opponents, land semi-heavy blows and then around the mid rounds he's putting serious mustard on his punches. Canelo on the other hand punches with far too much commitment which may be attributing to his stamina issues as well, he doesn't throw for speed enough.

Castillo? Corrales? It's definitely some time since Mayweather took on a champ in his prime at his strongest weight. Canelo is next but he put a catchweight on it when he didn't need to.

Bottom line is he fought the top 5 fighters who just so happened to hold the title belts in the division they were in and he beat them.

It's AFTER he dominates them easily that folks come on here saying "Oh I knew Floyd would win all along."

                    No. just no.

he never fights who fans wants him to fight. The margaritos, the prime cotto, the prime pacquiaos of the world. he rather fight the guerreros and ortizs of the worlds... We all knew those fighters (ortiz and guerrero) never had a realistic shot.

A champ, prime, at his strongest weight.

                      Victor Ortiz?

You want him to face Devon Alexander too?
