There is nothing wrong with Pacquiao he didn't decline the competition finally caught up. It's what happens when he's not fighting slow flat footed face first boxers. When he fights Rios it is going to seem like the old Manny and everyone will marvel how great Pac looks again. JMM always had Pacs number the one thing he was missing was the one punch KO power.

Pac showed signs of slowing down vs Margarito
despite dominating, he got hit too much by a guy so much slower
lethargy led to him carrying shot Mosley
he looked ish in the 3rd piss drinker fight
he coulda whopped Bradley worse than he did if he had stamina or legs
Pac's gotten old the last couple yrs, his decline is quite palpable

I don't think he took shots from big guys like Cotto and Margarito as well as people thought he did. He was good at hiding when he was hurt and I think that led people to believe he was walking through all that fire no problem. Taking clean shots from a legit puncher like Cotto is going to take it out of you no matter who you are.

He has declined quite a bit, his best recent performance was Bradley and even then though i thought he won clean he just didn't look the same doing it and Bradley can be hit especially on the counter when throwing from the outside, at His best Manny was really good at that sort of thing in that fight he never really made Bradley pay for any of his mistakes.

I don't think he has declined as much as some because I didn't like some of his work as much as others but no matter because either way he is not the same as he was which is only natural for a guy who started that small plus relied heavily on athletic ability and toughness.

Cotto busted him up but never looked like he hurt him
Cotto was retreating and not getting full force on his shots
Pac couldn't hide getting hurt by Margarito though
he knew he was way too small for anymore JMW fights after that
some of Tony's body blows and uppercuts did damage

I can see that you're a big fan of Pacquiao, and why wouldn't you be? He's a great fighter.

But you're letting your admiration cloud your judgement.

Marquez was being outboxed because he was playing for keeps. When you go into a game to run a Hail Mary you're not concerned with subtlety.

Dude the only guy that beat him legit lately is the same guy that got 3 chances already, starting with 2004. Aren't you one of the guys complaining about too many JMM rematches?

Well one thing is for sure, his involvement in politics is a big distraction. Also Pac style of fighting needs a complete focus in his training. Now he doesn't train as he used to be and you add the fact he is getting older now. Reality is...he is only human, losing his youth and hunger.
