Really? This is the logic that is killing boxing. David Price should go fight the crafty veteran (Thmpson) cause hes young and avoid the pack of young heavies competing for top honors.... you see how this example worked for Price?

The promotors have really bamboozled fans. They have people thinking that a fighter does not have the experience yet.....best to take it slow... which has become a vrtually code name for "don't want to risk the 0!" This logic. i.e. the inability to take risks, turned Ricky Hatton into a dry humping fascimile of himself instead of creating a legacy for him, it has allowed smart veterans to thrive because...these avoiders are not truly learning the game and becoming better.

the real question is what does this fight do for Bronner as a young guy in a packed division? answer: NOTHING. Win or lose. And lose he may well do because the irony is he picked a guy who is anathema to the style in which he fights...Paulie knows this which is why he is trying to grab that brass ring!!
