Garcia is in his prime or peak. Can't say the same thing with Gamboa. But this is still an intriguing fight. 50 cent should capitalize on the opportunity, if Arum gives it.

I don't see any bigger fight for Gamboa than this right now.

Mikey is in his prime years, but I don't think he's peaked yet. (Very encouraging if you're a fan.) Gamboa may have peaked, but he might not be completely out of his prime. This is a good fight, regardless. Both men would benefit from the match-up...and so would the fans.

If Gamboa could hide his glass as good as Rigondeaux, he could possibly survive.
But Garcia is an accurate ma***a, so Gamboa dies in the ring.

I really hope hbo pushes for it , i dont really want a rocky martinez clash. unless he wants to pick up a title first which is possible
IF and that's a big if, Mikey moves up to 130 I might envisage the fight happening. But he was pretty adamant after the fight that he wanted to keep fighting at 126 because he believes he can still make the weight.

If there is no Gamboa or anyone south of FW then the only 2 fights that I care to see Mikey in is either against John or Mares. Mares won't happen but if Mikey wants to make a real splash, he can travel and fight John in Asia. Sadly boxers who are willing to pioneer are few and far between.

Gamboa's power drops off considerably as he goes up in weight. I see Mikey beating his ass but I need to see Mikey fight someone with good footwork like Gamboa.

I'm a big Gamboa fan but I think Mikey presents some things that would give Gamboa all sorts of problems.

Garcia's team refused the fight when it was there and offered to them, Gamboa is simply the better fighter.
