WTF are you smoking. Gamboa outboxing Garcia? Gamboa has very little boxing(he relies completely on his hand speed to bail him out) and his footwork is one of the worst from a top flight fighter. His footwork is on par with Amir Khan. Gamboa is always open, and would be nearly as open as Lopez was last night. Not to mention that Gamboa is nearly as chinny as Lopez is now. Garcia would absolutely light Gamboas ass up all night if they fought. It would be a landslide victory.

For us to really talk about this fight we have to be talking about a fighter who actually takes on legit opponents. I used to be high on Gamboa but he hasn't had a meaningful fight in almost over 2 years. If this fight does happen it would require Mikey to move up to 130 and Gamboa to come back down to superfw.

Mikey has the skills and the counter punching skills but his work rate is pretty low, which would suit Gamboa perfectly. Gamboa also must have the power edge and Mikey's chin is yet untested, having said that I think Mikey has enough class to squeak out a decision.

Gamboa said he would go back 130 for the right fight, and since mikey wass struggling making weight i cant see him making the guy go down to 128 even though i think he ll try. I really hope hbo pushes for it , i dont really want a rocky martinez clash. unless he wants to pick up a title first which is possible
