Froch has only recently come into the mainstream in the UK so that's why guy's like Haye and Khan are bigger names despite not being as good as him.

That said, Froch-Kessler 2, a fight where one of the fighters wasn't from the UK is probably bigger than both of those fights regardless and was on PPV.
I understand that. There is just no logical justification for it based on their in ring accomplishments.

Your post is essentially saying "UK fans favor style over substance"

Either that of for some reason they find Khan and Brook more compelling because they are not white.

No matter the rationale I will never understand why UK fans support a loudmouth braggart like Haye who has fleeced them with a PPV farce like Audley over a guy like Carl Froch who goes balls to the wall against the best in the world every time out and throws more punches in 3 rounds than Haye does in 12.

I understand and agree with your notion.

What my post is saying is this fight is a big fight in the UK. It's a fight that's going to attract the casual audience.

It's a good fight regardless. They're the best 2 HW's in the UK and both Top 10 HW's.

It is a good fight. Would be by far the toughest HW opponent either man has faced (removing Wlad from equation)

That being said I resent the fact already that the winner of this fight will somehow become by default the "best non Klitschko HW" while so many other fighters who are much more active and have more top-10 wins get pushed aside.

Everyone knows the winner of this fight is just going to sit on their ass and wait for a Klitschko fight as if they are entitled to it.

Beating someone like Pulev to actually earn the shot? Not in a million years.

Sadly those attitudes are fostered and supported by fans who pay PPV money for fights like Haye-Harrison.

When a fight like Haye-Fury gets so overblown that it gets put on PPV it is bad for the division and sport. This fight should be free to the fans who actually supported Haye's pathetic run at HW with their hard earned money.

Pretty sure most people outside of the UK will be watching via an illegal stream, anyway.

Obviously it won't be on PPV anywhere else, its two British fighters. Just like Chad Dawson vs Bernard Hopkins would never be on PPV anywhere other than America. Most of Mayweather and Pacquiao's fights aren't PPV here.

I take your point though. David Haye himself should never be on PPV again after he single handedly ended it in the first place.

I didn't read the article and i don't care about this fight;c'mon if light hitter cruiserweight like Steve Cunningham scored a knock down i really believed David Haye will stop Fury without big problems in 6/7 rounds!!!

Froch is a far bigger loudmouth than Haye. And Froch's personality sucks and he looks like a hooligan. Haye on the other hand is routinely on British tv on chat shows, like Khan used to be. Haye is funny and charismatic. Froch is NOT.

And the reason Khan is big there, because he won a silver medal at age 17 at the olympics. That's the kinda thing that gets you a lot of fame. Well, that was where it started.
