Comments Thread For: Hearn: Haye-Fury Will Be a Huge PPV, The Deal is Close

DAVID HAYE and Tyson Fury could earn a staggering £5m EACH in a megabucks bout this year.

Negotiations are progressing for a September 28 blockbuster between Britain’s two top heavyweights at the Manchester Arena.

Haye’s co-promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that talks are taking place and said: “It’s now a case of getting both fighters to cross the line.”

At the Fury camp, his uncle and trainer Peter said: “We want Haye. If the fight does not happen, it won’t be down to Tyson.”

The fight would be a 22,000 sell-out with pay-per-view takings likely to be sky-high in what will be an eagerly anticipated contest.

Hearn said: “It is a fight that will have enormous interest and it could generate one of the biggest pay-per-view figures of all time.”

Hearn’s Matchroom organization has a four-fight deal with former WBA champ Haye, who has not fought since July last year. [Click Here To Read More]

This is a big step up for Haye. You can't jump from fighting the likes of Mormeck, Chisora, Enzo and Audley to somebody of Fury's ability. Haye is going to get beat bad here just like he did that one other time he fought an actual top 10 HW.

I think by now Fury learned his lesson by now after getting knocked down by Cunningham, he won't be that careless again. Fury moves quickly around the ring, Cunningham couldn't avoid him. Fury has some underrated boxing abilities and if he leans on an opponent that can be pretty brutal. Haye is now older, comes off an injury and retirement... Fury might happen to catch Haye at the right time.

Ive heard this said many times before, and im sure even Fury must be aware of people writing him off.

But I don't really understand the comparison to Harrison, considering Fury is much better than Harrison.

Let's make a bet. Fury wins, I'll delete my profile, Haye wins, you delete yours.

              Are you that confident?

Would this really be that big in the uk? Seems to be half the fight Lewis-Bruno was.

Its not a comparison between Fury and Harrison. I'm simply stating within 3 roundsa the fight wil be over.

Lets be honest here. Fury is a bit rubbish, he's just a glorified lump

Lewis and Bruno weren't talkers. In today's boxing world, big mouths sell fights. If these two have nothing else, they have big mouths.
