I 100% disagree about Floyd Vs Paul. Floyd would have stood no chance against Paul Williams, not 1 top WW wanted any part of P Will..rather it was Mosley, Oscar, Pacquiao, nor Floyd.

Paul Williams was very limited skill wise and had a very very low ring IQ. He was a lengthy fighter who refused to use his length, and his trainer was even dumber than he was (in the ring). I like Paul as a person, but as a fighter, his flaws shined bright, I don't see how there was anyway possible he could of beaten Floyd. Height doesn't win fights. Paul hasn't fought anyone like a Floyd, and, **** dude, I just honestly can't see how Paul wins that....like I honestly can't see it, Paul was just awful to me.

People have been pulling excuses for Floyd on that fight since before it even happened.

Facts:

1. Floyd did not want to fight Castillo, he was forced to and it started the collapse with Arum. Even Floyd's trainer is on record stating they did not like the matchup and did not want the fight.

2. What was Floyd's injury? Because he only became injured after people ringside started saying he should've lost that fight..how convenient.

3. Saying what happened in the second fight somehow nulls out any debate about the first fight is complete and utter noob logic. Castillo was never the same fighter mentally after he felt he was robbed in that fight. He isn't the first of last fighter to completely never recoup from taking a controversial loss.

Now as a fan of the sport, I have seen that first fight over and over again. Only truly blind fanboys can say that first fight was not debatable and had Mayweather been anyone else he in all likelihood would not have walked out of there with the win. Here is another interesting bit, the only other challenger to floyd with an unorthodox fight style that didn't give away reach advantage to Floyd was Paul Williams and because of that Floyd never fought Paul...interesting...now please give me an excuse as to why Floyd wouldn't fight Paul. I'll give you ten reasons why he refused to fight him.

Canelo isn't Castillo and the fight in September isn't going to look anything like that.

Canelo isn't going to pressure the way Castillo and Hatton did, honestly I think he would gas out by round 6 if he tried to do that.

You are saying the truth about Floyd and PW;PW with that long arms,incredible stamina and no stop throwing punches (more than 100 every round) should have beat FLOYD;i heard an interview of ROGER saying that Vernon Forrest should have beat his nephew because his style and his long arms;this means long arms are a problem to Floyd if he fights someone skilled and able to use his reach advantge!!!

paul williams? honestly?? paul williams was so unskilled he couldnt even keep the fight close with lara never mind what a 07-08 mayweather wouldve done to him. 1000 punches per rd. turns into str8 rights galore for may and paul williams reduced to 30 whiffing punches per rd. Even kermit cintron was schoolin paul williams and mayweather was gonna have trouble with him??? thats absurd.

Exactly, now I am a FMJ fan, but there is just no way Floyd could beat Williams.
Too much pressure, too many punches thrown, too long, good chin.
I would have had P Will easily by UD.

Funny how some forget (Castillo himself) that Floyd went into the first Castillo fight with an injury. In the second fight between Floyd and Castillo, Floyd completely dominated Castillo. So if Castillo is referring to the injured Floyd then yes, Canelo can put pressure on Floyd. A healthy Floyd is too much for anyone. By the way, a lot of folks (myself included) felt Floyd beat Castillo the first time they met.

Sure he did, just like Vinnie Paz only lost to Roy Jones because he drank to much cappuccino in the locker room before the fight lol
