Why is lucas so overhyped

Knocked out undefeated top 10 ranked Soto who hadn't lost for years and had never been down.

Outboxed, floored and whooped 33yr old Judah.

Destroyed #1 ranked Peterson in brutal fashion inside of 3 rounds.

Battered #1 ranked Alexander, still the only guy to floor him.

Beat top 10 ranked undefeated Ajose who Garcia ran from from pillar to post.

Knocked Mike Dallas spark out in 1 round with a pull counter


This guy is overrated? In the last few years hes up there with a select few in terms of competition and handled them equally as impressively as anybody.

Yes he is over-rated. J Lopez knocked out Mike Dallas so thats not that big of an accomplishment. Alexander is complete horse ****, a terrible,terrible fighter.
Peterson and Ajose are Good wins and the Zab fight WAS close.

Garcia is also over-rated, but he has a higher ceiling than Lucas, he's 5 years younger, and IS improving.

Right now this is a 50/50 fight plain and simple, who ever lands the first Bomb will most likely win.

There’s a huge difference between KO someone in round 7 after a “tough fight” (Josesito’s own words) and what Matthysse did to Dallas Jr.
In Round 1, just 2 minutes and 20 seconds, Matthysse dropped Dallas unconscious on the canvas, walking away thinking “b;tch please..”

I agree the Dallas win wasn't great but it was impressive the way he dispatched of him and Alexander is boring as hell but far from a terrible fighter.

I don't think Garcia is improving particularly, looks the same fighter who fought Holt, Theophane etc to me and I think Lucas will wipe him out very quickly, he'll still get haters saying hes just a puncher with no skill etc
Lucas is deceptively good and a lot more skilled than a lot are willing to admit.

I actually think the Zab fight wasn't a robbery. I scored it for Lucas, but it was a very close fight, and Zab did outbox Lucas for close to half of the fight. Doesn't matter, because Lucas is fighting more to his strengths now.

On paper Lucas should destroy Garcia. I don't think Garcia is really that good, and his skills and movement are worse than Lucas. And Lucas is way more powerful and accurate with his powershots. Its a huge mismatch, Lucas might take Garcias life in the ring.

Man, you know there's more to technique than being a slick fighter. Lucas is a puncher, and has very good technique for a puncher! He's not just a slugger like a Mayorga. Technically he throws his punches extremely well, cuts off the ring, has good inside game and and a good body attack.

I like Danny, he has good power and he has a great left hook when he doesn't start throwing looping punches (But Zab took that away, something he couldn't do against Matthysse). But other than that what does he have? Poor footwork, slow hands, poor defense, not consistent with the jab. I just don't see anything that is A+ with him...

Now I know your a PR fan boy, but Matthysse DID handle Zab better than Danny, and he also whooped Devon but your right he didn't get the win. Just like Ashley Theophane made Danny look amateurish and didn't get the W

I'll always have love for Swift for KO'ing Khan, but make no mistake, Matthysse is coming for him... Care to make a bet on the outcome??

so he stops humberto soto, stops lamont peterson, and should have wins against judah and alexander....

I also agree that lucas hasnt got the best technique but some fighters are like that (nigel benn and george foreman come to mind) doesn't mean they're garbage, yes theres a chance you can outbox these guys but they will always have a massive punchers chance
