Angulo towards the end actually had 3 (minor) cuts before the stoppage.

1st knockdown your right, second knockdown to Lara was trying to back out leaving himself open and Angulo caught him.

i think he is a shot fighter, even if he isn't,fact still is he's not a good fighter, with all of his weaknesses that he has, which are a lot,an opponent of his if he's good should beat him fairly easy and not struggle with angulo at this point in his career, thats my point here with angulo,he struggled against a welter in his previous fight, hasn't looked good at all, even in this fight he looked awful from the beginning,by awful i mean very slow and hittable,a great fighter should shine against a fighter like angulo,an avg fighter will struggle and get knocked down, thats the difference between a great one and an avg one facing a guy like angulo

He made me into fan by showing he has heart to go with his skills.

If he's gonna' be a cvnt about his victory now, he fades back into obscurity with me.

Hell, it's not like he's likely going to be in many fights entertaining as that one was anyway...

Lara has some way to go if he wants to beat Alvarez, Trout.

Maybe he will do better in the future, but right now I think the best option he might have is a fight with Cotto. The Cotto who fought Mayweather KO's him though. Maybe they can make a fight with trout and see if they can sell out a middle school gymnasium somewhere and televise it on public access tv.
12 KOs out of 18 wins - yeah, he never wins dominantly, SMDH @ this BS......

Exactly! Lara got up & continued like it was business at usual. Props to Angulo for cutting the ring off as best as he could and making it a fight and making the best of what was presented...

Lara beats Canelo any day of the week, and Trout too... Say what you will about Lara being a boring fighter an such but one thing for sure is the man has skills! That shot he took from Angulo the first KD would have knocked most fighters out cold

good post. Angulo's face was looking worse every round. Angulos orbital bone didn't fracture itself, Lara did it with 2 kd's, and a painful rib cage after all those effective body shots. Tired from evading this vicious body shots. A bit impressive.

I'll admit, Angulo is probably one of the only boxers i don't like. The dog coller show is really in bad taste. He's a brawler with SOME...boxing skills. He's tough, but now he might have to rethink his career if he can't comeback like paulie did.

Lara is a good boxer., yeah, he needs improvement, I hope he learned a lot from this fight. Lots of clean straight shots to the face.
And it was said the gloves are thumbless? i don't know what that's all about, but on the replays i saw clean shots to that eye. Lara knew what he had to do and did it.

even though i don't like Angulo, it looks like his career could possibly be over after this. Who fully recovers from a fractured orbital bone? Paulie somehow did it, but he's the only one i know of. I wish them both luck.

Angulo is nothing special I knew he would lose I was surprised that Lara got dropped but he showed determination and stuck with the game plan maybe a rematch can happen or Kirkland v.s lara
