Up until the eye injury I don't recall Angulo being hurt or even stunned from any of Lara's shots. I doubt he would have stopped Angulo if it wasn't for the eye injury.

I have nothing against Lara, just the delusional ******s who call themselves his fans. The guy is a fine boxer, but not top level. He was ready to get knocked cold before Angulos injury. The guy never wins dominantly. It's always sloppy or controversial because he doesn't fight. Maybe he will do better in the future, but right now I think the best option he might have is a fight with Cotto. The Cotto who fought Mayweather KO's him though. Maybe they can make a fight with trout and see if they can sell out a middle school gymnasium somewhere and televise it on public access tv.

I don't recall to be honest. I will need to watch the fight again. I saw Lara catch him with a lot of clean shots but he was just walking through them like it was nothing. If only his orbital bone was as strong as his jaw lol

Every time he got knocked down he fought back well and defended well the rest of the round. And those knockdowns came early in the round each time.

A buncha biasness in this thread. Apparently Angulo was the only one with a chance of stopping his opponent but not Lara. The only problem with that is, Lara DID stop his opponent. So that logic doesn't work here.

he wanted to give the fans a good fight and that's why he stood in front of him? lol, yeah right,he did it because he had no choice at moments,he doesn't react too good when pressured and those body shots got to him, thats why he was standing there, nothing to do with wanting to give fans their moneys worth,he's not that type of fighter to give the fans their hard earned money spent at thee places a good fight, this fight was exciting because of angulo not him,if it were up to him he would have pulled a mike jones/bailey type of stinker,he's an avg fighter with a non pleasing style,i still have to see him face a top 154 pounder to see how good he is,then face a champ,he hasn't done that yet
