hahaha, true. I actually meant to post that in response to Big_L. He quoted Nathan Lewkowicz saying Matty/Maidana, Garcia/Judah 2 is happening Sept 7th. I just got to thinking how despite that being a solid card, I'd be infinitely disappointed. Just went a little nuts there for a min.

No way Matty/Garcia doesn't happen next in my opinion, but I can see why Nathan Lewkowicz would rather do Maidana/Matty. It'd be a huge event for Argentina and a relatively low risk proposition for Matthysse. Also a great fight, but not exactly what everyone is clamoring for at the moment.

Lewkowicz needs to quit bull****ting though. Isn't it looking likely that Judah will fight Alvarado next?

This is disgraceful if it is true. I didn't realize Danny Garcia was such a huge coward. It's obvious he does not want to fight Matthysse at all. Otherwise, he would've fought him before Peterson.

Its incredible how GB picks certain fighters to protect, like Canelo or Danny Garcia. But if Danny fights Zab again, that'll be outrageous. Definitely will not watch that nonsense.

This would be a move worse than anything TR pulled. Garcia needs to fight Matts next, and winner gets Maidana.

It actually does make sense, and explain why Garcia Matths hasn't been signed. But Matths doesnt want to fight at 147, he already said this, and Maidana strugggles to make 140, as he already he said this too. Lets hope Lucas refuses to fight Maidana before he gets Garcia.

Garcia/Judah wasn't close enough for their to be an immediate rematch, they need to stop stalling. Garcia/Matthysse makes all the sense in the world, all they need to do is find an east coast venue.

Well, I couldn't exactly tell you why it hasn't been signed yet. There are a lot of things that can hold up negotiations. If I was to guess I'd say it has something to do with the monetary split, but I simply don't know. I do know that Schaefer does has a pretty good track record making the fights he says are in the works as of late and that Matthysse/Garcia makes the most sense at the moment for pretty much everyone involved, from a business standpoint. Like Schaefer said, the fight is 90% percent likely and now we hear this from Rafael. I don't think we have anything to worry about really.

As much as this fight is in demand right now, I think not getting it done would piss a lot of people off and would be a real shame. It'd also turn a lot of people against Garcia. I can already see the hundreds of threads calling Garcia a duck and a *****.

Plus, what is there to gain by letting this fight "marinate"? The way it looks right now the marinade would be those 2 guys sitting around waiting for the outcomes of all the other fights at and around 140.

True that the weight would be a major stumbling block as far as a Maidana/Matty fight. I didn't even think about that. Aren't they friends as well? Sounds like a troll by Lewkowicz. Anyway, it looks like Maidana is fighting the winner of Broner/Malignaggi, and from what we keep hearing it looks like Judah very well may have a fight with Mike Alvarado on the horizon. I just don't think there's anywhere else to go for Matty and Garcia except the fight with eachother. Pretty damn sure it happens next. And if by some freak occurrence Lewkowicz's proposed Sept. 7th card ends up happening, it'd be an alright card. A lot of controversy surrounding it, and not much of a reason for Garcia to fight Judah again(besides the fact that their fight was pretty entertaining), but I'm sure a lot of people would tune in for it. Wouldn't be one of my top choices for Sept. 7th personally, but far from the worst card that could be made.
