Dan Rafael on Garcia/Matthysse

Why would you believe that, when they've been talking about matching these guys up, for the past few years? The winner of Lucas-Lamont was on a collision course to fight the winner of Judah-Danny. They have been talking about this for I dont know how long. Danny and Lucas are both small names and GBP had no intentions on protecting them like Khan and Canelo who were both on path to become big names. Richard already said that it was a 10 percent chance that Danny would fight Floyd, and 90 percent chance that he would fight Lucas, because he felt that Danny and Lucas was an exciting fight that he wanted to see happen, and that he felt needed to happen. Floyd as of right now, is fighting Canelo. He's not worried about anyone past that.

I understand how WARQUEZ feels about this. As obvious as it seems that they are on a collision course, crazier certainly have happened in boxing. I'm sure most people feel good about the chances of this going down, especially with the bit and pieces of news we see pointing in that direction, but anything can happen..

They don't have to be in the ring for me to believe it's happening. All I need to hear is that the contracts have been signed and a date has been set and I'm happy as can be.

Some people would just rather talk **** than get the fights that everybody wants to see. Even after the Matthysse vs Garcia fight gets made that wont stop the b1tching. People are going to keep complaining all the way until the national anthems.

Funny thing is, as ****** as it sounds I believe it too. Man WTF... I'm gonna be pissed if GB gets Garcia away from this KO1 at the hands of Lucas.

That reads like such a troll tweet. We know Matthysse wants it, we know Golden Boy wants it, and I'm pretty sure Danny has no objections, the only way this fight doesn't happen is if Al Haymon doesn't want it and starts throwing his weight around. I doubt that happens either, because he signed Lucas.
