Thought this fight could be a good one. Wow.

Was it the jab, or the left hand that followed it that cracked Angulos's orbital bone?

    Angulo turned his back.

    That is a no-no.

    Great fight.

The only flaw Lara has is inside fighting.

Would love to see Lara vs Cotto next but will be fine with either Trout or Kirkland next!!

            Bingo.

But tonight he proved, once and for all, he's a warrior. Landy can take shots, repeatedly rise from adversity, and end his opponent's night. Whatever happens from here on out, Lara has won my respect.

Yeah, good stuff. I was impressed with his heart. Both fighters have great performances. It was sad to see Angulo get stopped like that after doing a lot better than most thought he could, but it is what it is.

Great fight. Hope Angulo is OK. Ive got no problems with him quitting, the pain must have been unbearable. I know boxing fans demand a lot (and we usually get it, which is why this is the best sport in the world), but shiet, fighters risking permanent, serious damage to their eye.......nah, live to fight another day.

I don't usually judge fighters on weigh in days and by physique but when I saw Angulo at the weigh ins I thought "Oh ****". Its sad that he got stopped cause it looked like he put work in in camp and definitely in the ring tonight.

Man wish I could've seen this one! Stuck at a hotel with only HBO and the wifi here is complete garbage so streaming is out of the question. What I would've done to trade SHO for HBO.
Very glad Lara was able to overcome Angulo. Not as onesided as I thought it should have gone but still need to watch.

Two ways to look at it, I suppose: a. You feel bad for Alfredo because he was doing well and possibly on his way to stopping Lara; or, b. You feel great for Landy because he rose twice from the canvass and finished his relentless foe by bashing his face in.

I'm obviously glad my horse won. I'm sure Lara wouldn't have gotten much sympathy if he lost. I don't see why Angulo should get much more sympathy in defeat than Erislandy. Both men are warriors. One had to lose.
