I love when people start picking out parts of fights guys won decisively or by ko to try and discredit them. You they are legit when that starts up.
Just finished watching Matthysse Vs Soto

i don't see it...........matthysse turns a fight around with one punch rather then pressure. more like anyone who can't take his punch is likely to get stopped.Comment

Getting his ears boxed off? He knocked him out in the 4th round, and had two knockdowns in the 3rd. Straw man argument. Can't say I agree with this. At this point Soto is his third best win. #1 being PEDerson and #2 being Ajose. That's of course if you think Lucas really lost vs Alexander and Judah. I think Ajose is pretty underrated. I'd say he's top 5 in the division. He'd beat Garcia and Khan for sure. Ajose does everything Khan does but better. We know Garcia was getting his ears boxed off by Khan and he ain't knocking Ajose out. And well, Khan is Khan so yea Ajose beats him. At this point who doesn't really.
Would be interesting to see him vs PEDerson tho.

I'm not saying Garcia beats Lucas, but it's a 50/50 fight IMO.Comment

3 things
1 Garcia is far from being Soto
2 Soto was a hell of a fighter
3 Matthysse was just too much for him
btw what a fight I watched it again

I've always liked soto, i don't think he got the props he deserved after he fought theist avoided fighter in the division. I've always liked his one-two punches he displayed against antillonDanny Garcia is too flat footed to keep away from any boxers punches to be honest, but Soto did a good job of combinations & moving against Lucas....but Lucas adjusted & cut him off well.
Plus Lucas has improved fight after fight....Ajose Olusegun fought similar to Soto against Lucas & IMO is better then Soto at 140....look what happened in their fight.
Was Matthysse getting tagged? yep...was he hurt & wobbled...no.Comment

I think the size is key. Soto was just not a lww, he looked bloated innate matthysse fight and other fights easing up to that one. I like him but I don't see him beating Alexander, maybe judahstyles make fights.
i think judah and alexander would beat soto pretty easily. they're bigger, faster guys with better boxing skills. alexander has a great chin, too.
ajose wasn't anybody to write home about. i can see soto beating him, but it's certainly a competitive fight.Comment
