Garcia vs Matthysse needs to be signed already. I think Garcia can counter Matthysse and land the left hook and hurt him.

Matthysse is on beast mode right now. He will be firing away with hard shots to Garcia's dome piece and can hurt him as well.

It will come to who ever can take the other guys punch better. I see this fight as 50/50 fight. To me Matthysse is undefeated and is very well liked there is nothing to dislike about him.

He comes to fight hopefully this fight happens on sept 7th and we will see who's the king at 140.

There is nothing to debate, Ajose showed his lack of boxing fundamentals when Matthysse found it that easy to rip shots to the head, even Alexander defended better than that and wasn't as reckless. The man hasn't beaten anyone either, a wild fighter like that isn't gonna beat Danny Garcia. Maybe you don't like Danny but that's a fact right there. Ajose would present too many openings.

I guess you don't know how to a score a fight. The point deduction in the 5th round was the only thing that saved Soto from drawing with Antillon. He don't win more than 3 rounds? It was a really close fight.

And Bracero and McCloskey are better wins than anything Soto has done above 135.

You know, it's best to admit that certain wins aren't even worth mentioning. I advise you to go re-watch it, I thought it was close initially until I scored it and Soto was pretty much having a field day.

Soto hit Lucas with some good shots using his speed and combination punching. I wouldn't say Lucas was really hurt though. All pressure fighters get hit but they're tagging the opposing fighter as well. Lucas' body punching specifically is what broke Soto down so quickly. This was one of his better performances.

Now where as Soto used his hand and foot speed (at times) to bother Matthysse, Danny is more flat footed. Garcia is a solid boxer but he will be forced to exchange with Lucas. At 140, I don't think anyone can outgun Matthysse. Now Danny can flat out fight. He throws good hooks and has very good timing. Danny has good power as well but it is not devastating. I am expecting a competitive fight with Garcia eventually getting worn down and stopped late.

People act like Soto is a scrub. Dudes combination punching is top notch.

Hell, I've always thought he was like a poor mans JMM

The problem Danny has (which is a good thing he has but NOT for lucas) is that he's willing to get hit and return fire and exchange or counter off of it. Danny can afford to punch with these guys hes fought but NOT Lucas. I thinkn he'll fight an educated fight and throw bombs when close and HOPE Lucas respects it... Problem is Matthysse has shown he'll tank anything and keep coming. :\.. Even if they hit hard..dont know how you keep him off you if youre slow footed

I have a 60fps HD cap of this fight and I watched it about a month ago.
I've watched several time times and Soto didn't look like he was having a field day when he was get raked over the coals whenever his back was on the ropes, which was frequently. 2 judges had it 6 rounds a piece with the point deduction being the difference.

Say what you want about Corley but he fights top prospects back to back, traveling the world taking fights on short notice. Soto has fought a bunch of bums and his resume at 140 doesn't even come close to Corley's.

In their last eight fights lets see the kind of opposition they have faced.

                  DeMarcus Corley

Viktor Postol 19-0 top 10 ranked prospect
Paul McCloskey 23-1 top 10 ranked at the time
                  Gabriel Bracero 18-0 undefeated prospect
Ruslan Provodnikov 19-1 top 10 ranked (Ruslan struggled in this fight, even though the cards where wide. But was it was in Russia,)
                  Thomas Dulorme 11-0
                  Andre Gorges 10-1
Lucas Matthysse 27-1 top 1 propect at the time (Corley took more punches from Matthysse than any fighter to this date)
                  Serhiy Fedchenko 26-1
Marcos Maidana 28-1 top 10 ranked (Maidana was lucky this fight was in Agentina. Judges score were wide but even the guy keeping score for Tyc sports had it a draw)

                  Humberto Soto

                  Silverio Ortiz 26-13
                  Jose Lopez 17-2-1
                  Lucas Matthysee 30-2
                  Claudinei Lacerda 14-2
                  Adailton DeJesus 29-6
                  Jose Alfaro 25-7
                  Motoki Sasaki 36-8-1
                  Fidel Monterrosa 25-2

Corley is about to face Frankie Gomez 15-0 and has fought a bunch of top prospect/contenders and Soto fights the kind of guys that they use to build up these same propects.

Because Soto and Garica fight so similar right.......

Soto had his moments in the fight (no way did he hurt Mattysse though) but untimely he got beat the fuck down. And Soto is a very good and durable fighter, I actually thought Mattysse looked really scary in that fight.
