I'm just curious to see how Yuri performs at the weight. How will his stamina be? How will his speed, power and punch resistance be affected? It's gonna be interesting....
He looks like he has a fat face in yesterday's presser. Lets see how they manage his career after this. I wish Lara,Gamboa and Rigo had a Miami or east coast promoter with some $$$ and connections and got all 3 more fights then he have now

He's about to have his first fight at 135lb in 2013. If he fought Rios at the time he would have been jumping from 126lb to 135lb (two weight classes) to fight a undefeated (at the time) Knockout artist. That's ******.. That would be like Mayweather jumping from 147lb to 160lb to fight GGG or Kid Chocolate
Do you think the then lightweight in Marquez(135) was ****** in moving 2 division up to fight the no1 pound for pound fighter in the world in Floyd in WW(147) bout????Or was it Floyd was ****** for accepting the challenge of a lightweight(smaller fighter) Marquez....What do you thinks guys?

Top Rank gave Gamboa a big fight against Rios, and he punked out of the fight.

The reason he isn't getting any fights is because he angered Top Rank, with his antics, and his promoter 50 cent had a verbal feud with Mayweather and Golden Boy. Basically he pi$$ed on the two biggest companies in boxing and is complaining that they want nothing to do with him.
He didn't anger them that much if his first fight back was on a TR PPV undercard, 6 months ago.

But the real problem is, who is there to fight below 140 that's a name opponent? Maybe Mares, but he just moved up to 126 which Gamboa can't make, plus GBP. Who else is a name, Ricky Burns? Maybe Mikey? Has Gamboa called out Mikey?

Just keep fighting and winning and you will have Rick Burns in 2014

Gamboa's mandatory was Mikey before he moved up, team Garcia refused it as they 'weren't ready'.

What a ****** thing to say.
He called out Rios and disappeared at the last minute.
He turned out to be a chicken.

That was 2011, Mikey called out Gamboa after the Barros fight and the Salido fight at 126 and 130, but Gamboa opted to wait 6 months and is now fighting Perez.

since then Rios didn't make weight in his previous fight and wouldn't have made weight in a Gamboa fight their is of truth to it they couldn't offer him a fight around featherweight best they could do with him is fight a JrWW

I refuse to believe that any promoter would protect a fighter.

Top rank is sinking badly ! so much $ and so many fights to be made! fight the best against the best - Golden boy is definitely leading the way . Top rank got Manny beat how the **** do you make this man fight the same guy 4 times when manny is the cash cow? now marquez won't fight him . If you guys do not think Arum didn't have anything to do with Bradley beating Paman when he clearly lost is sad, its so sad that it back fired, they where trying to create a new star, but Bradley has no charisma nor punching power so the win ended up hurting his career than helping it - to the point that he dummied his boxing skills and ring IQ to lose a couple years off his career by trying to go toe to toe with a Russian killer that can easily be out boxed - hell the main sparring partner for Bradley's camp was the man who gave the Russian his first lost and exposed his weakness. top rank is falling fast - Arum needs to step down and let Duboef take over, seems like every one likes and is willing to do business with him, Arum even came on and publicly stated how hard it will be to promote rigo after he put on a masterful display of boxing - Arum is getting up there and the top rank contingency plan needs to go into effect !
