The vast majority of fighters do not put on 20 lbs the day after the weigh-in.
    name those that do.

I don't like either. There should be same day weigh-ins.

When?? When it looked like he was going to fight Canelo? GTFOH and no, we do not need same day weigh ins. Fighters dont like them, neither do doctors and neither do promoters. They dont serve anyone...except now possibly a few desperate floydiots.

I'm sure he doesn't have an understanding of fighters getting hurt in this sport, I'm so sure of that

The long-standing method of determining who can fight in a division is achieved by a weigh-in. As long as you make the weight at the weigh-in you may fight in that division. This is the way it has been for a long time.

Aren't all "Jr.", "super" and "light" titles catchweight?

Aren't all "Jr.", "super" and "light" titles catchweight?

I'm going to do a thread as soon as I finish researching the history of these "in between" divisions, but I'm certain now, based on research, that these titles all started as catchweight fights.

Guys were too big for one weight class, but too small to compete in the higher weight class so they agreed to fight at a certain weight.

Also, it's interesting that these in between titles have all had various weight limits. For instance, Jr. welt used to be 142, now it's 140. Jr. mid was 156 and 152 and various times. Cruiser weight is now 200, but it was 190 when first recognized and 195 for a few years. I can even remember when cruiser weight was called Jr. Heavy weight, but not super light heavy. Remember "light, light weight" for superfeather weight?
