Both are pro fighters who campaigned at 160. They did what pro's do. 2 elite middleweights fought that night. Martinez didn't care bout weight, only Floyd fans currently.

well its the only way they can be taken serious, people respect honesty more. They should just come out and say it, they had no problems with catchweights only when pacman did it because they hate him and wanted to take away credit from his wins to prop up Floyd.

if they do that I will have mad respect for them being real or keeping it real.

Dominicano brought up Martinez/Chavez. Martinez didn't complain, he handled business like a boss. And Floyd and Pacman are supposed to be greater than him, lol.
I think this issue is bigger than the individual fighters and I am trying to stick to your argument of safety. Whether a fighter complains about it or not does not determine whether its safe. My question is in any circumstance (whether the fighter complains or not) is it safe for one fighter to enter the ring at a weight that is one or two weight classes higher than the other fighter. If you feel that weigh ins should take place the day before in order to keep fighters safe then surely you should agree that two fighters should be fighting at a weight within at least one weight class of each other come fight night.

Lets try again, guy. Day before weight ins were implemented because of the concern for fighter safety. People are bashing Floyd cause he's a liar, hypocrit and a fraud.
No people are bashing floyd because thats what they do.

Floyd is absolutely a hypocrite for negotiating/agreeing to 152.

I agree but it seems like a lot of people in here are bigger fans of individual boxers than they are of boxing itself. So I can't see them saying anything negative about their favorite boxer.

The vast majority of fighters do not put on 20 lbs the day after the weigh-in.

If they really hated catchweights why didn't they hate on Floyd he did it before Pacman when he fought JMM and even failed to make weight, if Pac were to failed to make weight after calling a guy up at catchweight these low life Flowmos will spam every single article make hundreds of videos on youtube discrediting him calling him a fraud and a joke and how his legacy is tarnished.

Catchweights are only a problem when Pacquiao did them. Its okay for every other fighter to do one except for Pacquiao

But the backlash from Pacquiao haters were extreme that is why now people are mad at Floyd for going back on his word and not living up to it and his fans defending it all of a sudden after calling Pacman the catchweight king.

the only way this is resolved is if the Floyd fans/Pac haters who hated catchweights and are not justifying this issue apologies, and admit they really had no problem with catchweights they just wanted to hate on Pacman to discredit him to big up Floyd.
thats what they used to be with fewer divisions and a larger weight differential between classes.

In the case of manny v cotto and manny v margs they were designed to give manny an advantage. Only now, with floyd v canelo are manny fans like you acknowledging the advanatge aspect of catcthweights.

fans like you that love manny don't care about hypocricy in general (see manny ped change) you are jumping on floyd's hypocricy only.

floyd absolutely should get **** because of what he said. But posters like you defended the CW title fights for manny and maintained 2 lbs was no big deal. After giving floyd shiiit for this, make sure you keep the same opinion of 2lbs.
