How and why are these guys getting paid that much?
Ruslan is getting paid 600K as the B-side when Golovkin got 350K as the aside vs Macklin
Well, obviously promoters matter a lot. GBP/Haymon and TR always get their fighters the best money.
I don't know who promotes GGG, is it K2? But if he was with TR, he would have gotten Chavez Jr and had a better name by now. If he would have signed with GBP, he would have likely fought 154 guys at a catchweight of 157-158, like Lara, Angulo, Trout(Haymon), maybe Canelo down the line when he completely grew out of 154, Quillin.
Prov got his name boosted by fighting Bradley. Alvarado got a boost by fighting Rios twice. Also remember it's what HBO wants to put up for the fight, and Arum is sleeping with HBO. But your promoter is a big part of what you're going to get. The more pull they have, the bigger your pay check will be.
People care more about ruslan who proved himself vs Bradley instead of ggg who fights guys like ishida and stevens
Ruslan was there as a cherry pick, and he lost. He has never even beaten anyone as good as Ishida or Stevens in his career. I'm a fan of his but i dont get how these guys get so overpaid

There is a lot of money in boxing. However, some managers are better at getting their fighters paid than others. Golovkin could and should be getting that much (around what Alvarado is getting).
Think about this, if guys like Berto, Broner, Alvarado and others wouldn't be getting that much if it was hurting their promoters, managers and the cable companies. The fact that they continue to get those paydays, shows that guys like Golovkin and others are getting shafted, as the money is obviously there.
