It hurts his legacy, yes. Getting tested positive for banned substance in ANY fight, even just the one, should mean that your reputation is severely tarnished. It should mean you are not inducted into the HOF and it should mean you can never really be considered an ATG. What I think of Jones personally as a boxer, or as a person, doesn't and shouldn't come into it at all. For the record, I don't believe he intended to cheat, or knew he was cheating, but ignorance is not an excuse when you're a professional sportsman, it's you're job to know. I actually love Roy, and agree that he was a phenomenal athlete, but it would be hypocritical of me not to take this stance this with him as I have done with others in the past.
Will we ever see a fighter like Roy Jones again?

It's kind of the same situation, regardless of my opinion of Morales, the same standards apply, his reputation is tainted and he shouldn't be inducted into the HOF or really called an ATG. He will be, regardless, as will Roy, but my point is that really, they shouldn't.Comment

Totally irrelevant. As a professional athlete it is YOUR responsibility to know what you're putting into your system.
And let us not forget, it was banned for reason, that reason being it gives you an advantage. So it raises the legitimate question: Was RJJ even as good as RJJ? Sadly, we'll never know.
How can they be responsible when the FDA doesn't give them an immediate warning of things about to be banned? Even if they stop immediately most things will remain in the system for weeks, months after causing them to fail.
The FDA can ban anything at anytime that they see fit. Unless an athlete can see into the future & have the ability to cleanse it out of their system I am not sure it is their fault.
He tested positive for Ephedra lol
That is like failing for Caffeine and questioning how much better it made a fighter.Comment
