Alvarez is quick also but not as fast as Oscar and overall not as good as 2007 Oscar either. Just something to remember.

Don't worry I'll wait................. 42-0 30ko's? When where and what kind of boxers were they, no notables? Or do they even exist? For all I know his record and resume was forge to gain credibility in the states to box and shortcut his way to title fights. Golden boy is the new don king of this era! How is canelo getting this fight this fast anyway? How many ppv's has he done? Once again I'll wait........ This guys up bringing and biography us a joke just a ploy to getting a big payday! There is nothing special about Alvarez. And whoever thinks he will create problems for Floyd " don't know s*** bout boxing" PERIOD!

Blah blah blah...im not biased in any way for this fight im a fan of both fighters but time after time we hear about how floyds opponents bring something new to the table and we all see what ends up happening. Floyd is on another level he makes adjustments in every round if he needs to and anyone from canelos camp should just save their breath.

How hypocritical of you. Beg for Canelo to get "deserved credit" all while you imply that Floyd is overrated?
If I'm not mistaken, the majority of everybody talking about this fight is saying that Floyd is taking on his toughest opponent in several years, possible ever. That, to me, is giving Canelo his just due.
Further, how long will it take FLOYD to get the credit he deserves? Without everybody who isn't a "Floyd fan" making up an excuse for him to have to prove himself yet again? That's the real question. Canelo is 22, hasn't fought anybody that was a household name besides Mosley, and has a LOT to prove.

Now when Guerrero fought Floyd, he was coming off a win over Berto, also. He was also the interim WBC champ at 147. Plus, hadn't lost in how many years? It was a decent fight to make from a competitive standpoint. Who else was he supposed to fight at that point? Pacquiao? Alvarez? Ortiz again? Cotto? A light welterweight?
