I think the best way to beat Mayweather is to jab,jab,jab.............anyone? Castillo, Oscar de la Hoya and Miguel Cotto bleeding Floyd's mouth? jab to his head, jab to his chest ,jab to his belly, hell, even jab to his shoulder roll, that's the way you beat mayweather.

Because Mayweather is a Distance control master, you gotta take him out of his comfort zone, and his comfort zone is always there as long as he's there trying to set up distance and pot shotin you, yeah I know you'll get countered, but if you keep jabbing him, eventually Floyd will be so uncomfortable that he would try to be more aggresive to level up the round, when he does that buuuuuuuuum, you counter him with a straight right like the one Canelo did to Trout when he sent him to the canvas.

I don't thin really the key is power punching him to the body because he'll dodge those shots no matter what. The key to victory is a "Reckless untirable crispy strong jab at all times". Like I said, see the fights that gave Floyd the most problems and see how those coonsistent jabs made him feel very uncomfortable.

There's no reason to believe canelo will be effective to the body because he will need to jab to do that, and canelo doesn't do that. Canelo also doesn't like to work to open up his offense, guy will do nothing for 2 - 2 1/2 minutes at a time.

That's why Floyd is fighting him, right now it's a pretty easy fight for Floyd. Canelo is no where near ready.

Good idea, but he may concede the early rounds by doing that. He's gonna need to mix it up early, jab jab jab. Head and body. Don't throw tons of power shots, short quick shots are whats gonna work on Floyd. This is gonna be a competitive fight, I think Floyd wins a decision but we'll see. Canelo's defense was good against Trout, he will have to try and cut off the ring and throw combinations set up by his jab. Also don't aim to hit him clean, pound the arms, shoulders, elbows anything. Just land. It's gonna be extremely difficult, I can't wait.

he can do this but I don't think it's going to work, the reason I think canelo loses this fight is not because he's not strong,he's kind of fast when he throws his punches, but the reason to me is his stamina,i think he'll lose because of that,he's too young to be getting tired so early in fights,he starts breathing heavily in his corner with his mouth open,i can see him getting tired by mid fight and just getting frustrated, that is why I think he'll lose,he throws good combinations and goes to the body well,if he had good stamina and fought hard three minutes of every round he could, but he just doesn't do that, guys with good stamina were juan diaz, leo santa cruz, margarito when he was young, those guys never got tired and kept on coming,

The jab is key but the thing with Floyd is.......he knows how to take your jab away.

              1) use lateral movement
              2) counter the jab with right hands over the top of his jab
              3) Floyd can use his pull counter
              4) Floyd can time the jab, duck underneath, get close and work inside
              5) Floyd can catch the jab with his right hand then counter with his own jab

There are so many things that Floyd does to take peoples jab away.

De la hoya by far had the best jab of any fight that Floyd ever fought.
But by round 4 Floyd made Delahoya reluctant to throw the jab because he was getting caught with counter right hands.

Cotto was ok with the jab as well but that was a flat footed Floyd who was trying to be entertaining.
If Floyd fights like he did against Guerrero....no fighter will beat him or even touch him.

              Best defense in history.

Well, it's a start for Canelo but what I would like to hear him really say is
"I will come to the fight with a high work-rate, no stamina issues and fight the FULL 3 minutes of a round ..... not just 30 seconds and get tired like I did against Trout .... and more importantly, I know how to fix that"

The above is what will definitely get Canelo into trouble if he can't do it. If he can't fight for the full 3 minutes then this fight will be a joke! That is why he needed to fix that before he even contemplated taking on this fight. It is what it is .....

I remember ricky hatton saying Floyd would just make you miss a lot early in fights to get you tired and then start getting to you later, all those shots that opponents throw and miss get you tired too and I see that happening with canelo,it's true about just using the jab,to me that's the perfect punch to beat someone who is fast,it sets everything up,i remember forrest saying that after he beat mosley and Oscar proved that too, like I said I think canelos problem is his conditioning and that's why he'll lose,i can see him getting very tired by the 6th,7th round

He's not quick enough and I doubt he gets away with this without getting countered to death!

Last time I checked "very close" still equals a loss pal.

If that was the case you were going for, then lets just use the "very close" argument for 80% of fights in boxing.
