No question that he needs to improve ... he needs to work on his cardio and lose any fat without losing any muscle density. Hopefully, Canelo will not be affected by the CW of 152 ..... Also, ballooning up too high may not be that good either.

If Alvarez doesn`t get hurt cutting that weight, FMJ might get shown up by this young bull. Expecting a lot of flashy combos with a lot of speed and Floyd reduced to one unsuccessful counter at a time, running the clock and moving away ala against JLC1

I said Mosley at 135.. 13 years ago.. And yes.. he could move on his feet.

Maybe Mayweather could fight Trout.. Boxing is about styles and Trout would be something different. Floyd has consistently fought the same style of fighter.. A style he has had little to no problem facing.. That is why I call it a cherry pick.

Was I not typing English earlier or something?

While I would never, ever bet against Floyd - I think this is going to be a difficult fight for him. Canelo is young, strong, talented, has great boxing instincts and poise, a varied attacking arsenal of punches, and has enough arrogance (some may say mis-placed) to not be intimated by the aura of Mayweather. Canelo is a different calibre of fighter to Guererro, Ortiz, Hatton, who are made to order for Floyd.

The stamina is a huge problem, and not helped by the CW. If Saul can get in the shape of his life (and why shouldn't he, he's 22 and gonna fight one of the best ever fighters ever, when he's past prime), then I really think he's going to cause Floyd a lot of problems. This is not Robert Guerrero we are talking about, people.
WOW so now all a sudden Mayweather is a bum fighter who shouldn't be giving respect of 17 years of "EXPERIENCE" keep in mind he's got to where he's at because of this. Canelo is a fair fighter but doesn't do anything special.canelo will have some crowd moments in which will mainly be throwing punches at Floyd with most being partially blocked, then getting potshotted due to over thinking and eventually becoming frustrated like the rest and then being check into the Mayweather boxing clinic sitting alongside Robert Guerrero! Floyd by late round stoppage! Then the next day there will be all of the excuse on why and how Floyd won, stuff like...." all he did was run all night, hug, hit and run, scared to fight tie to toe ( but amazingly landed 60% of his power punches) then the final excuse of saying be...... I bet Floyd won't be mattysee,or etc.... Never go against Floyd son! Words to live by.....so live by 'em

My biggest problem with Canelo is that stamina nothing else, I think he needs another one or two fights to sort it out but they have gone for the fight now so more power to them. If he comes in and doesn't gas then I would gladly give him a better chance at Floyd but as of now he gets worked easily.

i dont think id ever favor him against floyd. theres a few things to point to. his stamina which probably will never be elite. just calling it like it is. stamina can be improved, sure, but like having a bad chin, a lot of it is hereditary and genetic. another thing is his pacing. he fights at a pace that heavily favors floyd. no 2 ways about it.he fights at floyds pace without having floyds skillset. to me, that will hurt him the most. u cant beat floyd throwing less than the average amount of shots for a jmw.

The only problem is that Canelo does not throw combos.
