Not correct. Canelo wanted the fight at 154. Canelo is not asking anyone to drain down. Mayweather made the demands below 154 which turned him into an instant Hypocrite against what he called Pac.

Cotto was forced to 145 more by Arum than Pac. Cotto said no to 145 and Pac would not budge and Arum forced the issue. Now back to Floyd and Canelo... If you counter a catchweight with a catchweight what is that? Please explain? I'll explain it for you. It means the other side is OFFERING a catchweight. Saul could have told Floyd 154 or nothing and went on to build his legacy without him. So you are not correct.

(in this case 152)

                this is simple negotiating tactics.

you guys have takin this weight thing way too far. to hilarious proportions.........
When you have 2 beltholders in the same division, fighting for the lineal title, weight is never negotiable. You negotiate the money split, who comes out first, drug testing, red/blue corner, etc. So is The Man at super welter gonna be The Man 152 under only?

Imho this whole "catch-weight" controversy is a fig leaf, a dramatic fig leaf but still a poor covering for a larger issue. Not only can't Mayweather ever do anything right, but he won't even equip his opponents with the proper tools to dispatch him. The fight is going to happen folks, and on fight night Canelo is going to weigh more than 154, period. Floyd lives and trains at about 147, so he won't enter the ring appreciably bigger or smaller than 152. He's going to have to face Canelo with what he has, so the newest "Mayweather killer" will rehydrate to something a bit heavier.

When we want the smaller guys to fight the bigger guys, surely we should expect some accommodation right?

                    Canelo KO's Mayweather IN 3!

Provided Floyd leaves his track shoes at home... this fight will come to a shocking quick ending, at the hands of Canelo with Mayweather's dad carrying Junior back to his stool saying, 'it's okay son...the money is in the bank".

Reading the posts of some Mayweather fans makes me think of politics again, they don't want to appear to be so onboard with Mayweather so they criticize him where they think it will do him the least amount of harm, yet they underestimate the hate that's launched at him. They dumbly and inadvertently feed the hate machine and add an air of legitimacy to it.

Floyd needs defenders because what he's doing in and for the sport matters.
