(in this case 152)

    this is simple negotiating tactics.

you guys have takin this weight thing way too far. to hilarious proportions.........
Why would two 154 pound titlists need to negotiate weight?

Exactly, Floyd is going in against a bigger man yet some behave as if a clause in a contract is what reality is. On fight night Floyd's going to be fighting a heavier younger man, and a man eager to knock his block off.

The true disparity seems to linger well outside of the obvious for some, they instead perseverate on contracts, pathetic.

Wasn't Baldomir 16 pounds heavier? Why not a cw for that fight?

bigger man but will probably be drained that night, theres a reason he asked for the catchweight, even two pounds, thats why he also said cotto was not at his best when he was asked for a catchweight by pac too,,,you can ignore it all you want,it's a catchweight fight requested by Floyd and it will affect canelo in some way, otherwise just fight him at 154,he's still going to gain weight right? but now he'll gain it but those two pounds will affect canelo

that's why I think he took this fight, pressure from showtime, they are not going to pay him all that money to lose money,,and forbes is reporting showtime lost millions in floyds ppv with guerrero,i believe it too...and they know what canelo has been doing lately with bringing in fans to his fights, they know this is the only way to make money, floyd to me was pressured into taking this fight,i really doubt he wanted it,probably was looking at devon alexander or amir khan

Hmmmm, I wonder if Mayweather was younger then or should the best be expected to be Supermen? Should every fighter face a challenge or should they be granted every advantage imaginable?

I think this is an utter fantasy and Canelo thinks so too. They know they'll have the weight advantage and unlike an older body Canelo's will be resilient, because he's the younger guy. He'll rehydrate fine.

I think this is the case as well, and it only makes sense. I knew he'd fight Canelo eventually but not this soon. I believe Esquire had an article about this as well.

                      .
Floyd is pfp numero uno according to many. So why not just fight the other 154 pound titlist without a cw? Baldomir outweighed him by at least 16. Its what Floyd fans love to brag about. They love to shout out that "size doesn't win fights, skills do".

So, whats the problem? Hopkins never fought a bigger guy with a cw and hes 85.
