My biggest question is why leave doubt on the subject if you are 100% confident. No one would say a thing of it was fought at 154. Not a thing.

Well as a Floyd fan I think the CW was a bad idea..opens up the door to criticism, he fought Delahoya and Cotto at 154..but when it's time for Canelo it's all of a sudden a CW.

Really? So 2 pounds lighter at the weigh-in with the ability to re-hydrate and bulk come fight-night really is going to take away from the fight? I don't think so.

Again, catch weights between these two weightclasses typically have a larger disparity (150 instead of 152, which is what Pacquiao usually did to his opponents moving down). Canelo only has to weigh in two pounds lighter than his normal fight weight, not 4. I think it's a decent compromise.

Canelo is only 23 three years old, his body will be ok with losing 2 additional pounds than he is accustomed to, especially when considering he can re-bulk immediately after the weigh-in. If Mayweather would've put a re-hydration clause in the contract, then that would've DEFINITELY took something away from the fight, because Canelo would've been drained.

Part of Floyd's criticism towards Manny's catchweights were because Manny would have rehydration clauses in his catchweights, and also would drain fighters like Cotto, who went from 154 to 147. That's 7 pound disparity, whereas with Mayweather-Canelo we're only talking TWO POUNDS.. Not comparable imo.

The worst part about the catchweight is that the title is on the line. Manny also forced Cotto to put his belt on the line or no fight. Which was BS, but Cotto was a Top Rank yes man

Canelo was 153.5 against Trout, Floyd is asking for 152, canelo can pi$$ those two pounds 5 minutes before the weight in, this are excuses because eveyone knows including his fans that he will lose, they cashing out because fraud is at the end of his career and they can't hide ginger in the jww division any longer, there's a few jmw waiting for him and a couple of MW expecting his incursion at that weight, they will say that he loss against the best fighter of this generation and that will be accuarate, but the bottom line is that ginger ain't $h1t and doesn't have the resume to be fighting Fraud, he is there because he is a red head Mexican...

Canelo always makes the 154 limit, I'm sure he'll lose the 2 extra pounds just fine. In catch weights like this, there's usually a larger disparity, like 150 lbs instead of 152 lbs. The 152 catchweight really is an accommodation by both fighters, and gives neither a significant advantage.

Now, if Floyd had required a re-hydration clause in the contract, then i'd buy that he "knows what he's doing" in that he was seeking some sort of huge advantage.. But the fact of the matter is, Floyd's only asking for Canelo to lose 2 more pounds than usual, and he can re-hydrate and balloon all he wants come fight night.

Nobody wanted this fight at a catchweight. 2 Jr. Middle Champs should be able to fight each other at the Jr. Middle limit. No one is refuting that. But how long are you going to cry about it? Do you honestly think Canelo will be hindered or are you just using this as an excuse for when he loses a fight that you all thought he would win, because you blindly thought Floyd would not fight him? The only reason you all are crying is because you wanted the comfortability of saying that Floyd was afraid, because as long as they weren't fighting, you people were able to say that Floyd was ducking him and could say how Canelo would knock him out if they ever did fight. When the contract got signed, reality set in. You automatically gave up hope on Canelo because you knew you were talking out of your @ss. So you had to find something to hang on to to discredit a Floyd win over a fighter you claimed he would of been beaten by. So, they both have advantages. Canelo is still going to outweigh him by 20 pounds on the night of the fight. And Floyd will have an advantage that in the back of Canelo's mind, he's gotta lose those extra 2 pounds. It's either catchweight or no fight, which would you prefer?
