Now of course Calzaghe would not have done to Ward what he did to Lacy and I am not even sure he'd win, but he wouldn't have avoided him.

He would have found a reason to not fight him. He tried ducking Kessler but was forced to, so based on that and the fact that he never fought anyone when it mattered makes me believe that he would get creative and figure out a way to duck the fight.

Calzaghe comes out and says he'd rather fight a big American name than Kessler (which goes to prove that he wasn't really ducking the 'top ten US fighters' as wazaa puts.) Taylor wanted none of it, which i'm grateful as hell for as Calzaghe vs Kessler was a much much better fight!

and fighting Pavlik, why... he would've been decisioned easily.

I think Joe fights him because Ward is not a big puncher, the fight might stink though because Joe would run all over the place!!! Joe could get a decsion in Vegas if he won because Ward doesn't bring the clout that other fighters bring. His promotion isn't that active and he isn't very active now. I like Joes chances but again watching him can get boring as hell. Then again if Ward beats him convincingly in England he'd get robbed there! They would need judges from around the world and both camps should know who is assigned and possibly have some input on choices. I Joe should decide to mix it up with Andre he's eventually regret that, Andre is stronger and we know Joe's power is minimal! Ward by decsion! Ray.

If you wanted to sell your car, found you were undervaluing it and then raised the price, you still want to sell it.

Why anyone fairly prime would avoid another fighter only to fight him when they had lost 50% of their ability is beyond me (except for tax reasons, which Bernard is not bothered by).
