No because Mayweather already has a big advantage in experience. Canelo is young and still growing so by fight night he could be seriously weight drained.

I don't understand why anyone is complaining. Everyone considers Canelo a legitimate threat for Mayweather I didn't expect this fight to happen at any wieght let alone at 152. Canelo is in his prime for sure, undefeated has power and is way bigger then Mayweather. For a guy that can pick and choose who he fights Mayweather made one hell of a pick. Canelo will weigh 170 fight night and Mayweather will weigh probably 149 even at the catchweight of 152 Canelo has the size advantage. Also Canelo like 10 years younger then Mayweather the weight should be no problem for him. Younger, bigger, stronger, and a good undefeated fighter in his prime but lets complain about the catchweight. Pick a better opponent?

bro you realize that floyd doesnt actually walk around and fight at 147 right? you honestly believe that when he fought cotto that he lost 4 lbs over night and was 147? you honestly believe that when marquez weighed 149 fightnight that floyd was 147 even though he looked so much bigger?

I can tell a lot of you on here are spoiled kids and grown ups that don't know anything about sacrificing for an opportunity. Floyd could retire today and be a hall of famer, he just gave Canelo a shot to etch his name in history and all he has to do is lose 2lbs for the weigh in by getting in the gym a month earlier than usual and eating less hamburgers and all you so called fans can do is whine. Maybe he shouldve fought Alexander so you all would have something else to whine about. Bunch of babies. If I was Floyd I would've made him come down to 147 since he wants the fight so bad.

When Pac fought Cotto at 145, he never fought a true 147 welterweight (Oscar fight was at a catchweight). Floyd fought at 154 multiple times against true 154 jr. middleweights. So facing Canelo at 152 is true nonsense!! I can't justify this.

Canelo was 172 on fight night against Trout, it's pretty obvious that the kid is a middleweight, you could compare him to Chavez Jr who was 180+ on fight night and is clearly a super MW.

Canelo has absolutely pathetic stamina and with a 152 CW I'm sure he'll get tired during the first 3 or 4 rounds at most. He should try to go out throwing bombs all over the place and if that fails then he's done.

For the crap Floyd talked about fighting guys at their best weights in order to make Pacquiao look bad for fighting Cotto at 145. Its simply hypocrisy and why mostly nobody takes Floyd seriously.

Jesus Christ. Some people can never be pleased. Who's the f**k cares if its at a catchweight. The fights happening which is a miracle in itself. Seriously, who the f**k cares about the 2 lb difference.
