I bet you were not singing the same tune about catch weights when Pacquiao did it to Margarito and Cotto.
But because your hero does it it's ok right?

it doesn't matter if 2 pounds makes a difference, the point is that mayweather is contradicting himself, which is a huge deal given how vocal he was about the Manny/Cotto situation, and he also is the current WBA super champion at 154

        that's the point

i doubt anybody believes canelo will be drained, but the fact that mayweather feels it necessary to make this a contractual sticking point means to me that he sees canelo as a legit threat and wants a physiological/psychologial advantage over him

what other reason could you give?

Glad the fight is happening, but what a load of crap. Catchweight crap is unjustifiable, I hope Canelo ignores the catchweight altogether and comes to the weight in at 154.

No idea why this is happening at a catchweight. With that said, I'm still tuning in because Canelo's size and power will be an interesting challenge for the smaller Mayweather...

What he means is Cotto was already on the verge of moving to 154 when the Pac fight came along. The equivalent would be Floyd forcing Canelo down 2 pounds, followed by Canelo moving up to 160. So there is a slight difference but the point is why are people making excuses for Canelo already? He took the fight people!!! He obviously feels fine at 152, he doesn't need our excuses. He could easily fight Cotto at 154 if he felt 152 was too much of a drop. Let it rest and lets enjoy a true mega fight people. We cry about the best nof fighting the best and then we cry when its not on the exact terms we want it to be.Just appreciate the fight and put the hate aside, both guys will be cashing huge checks regardless.

Like you all said before regarding Cotto and Pac. If the other fighter agrees, so be it. If Canelo agreed, wtf are YOU talking about? Both stand to make millions, and 2 lbs won't affect Canelo. Floyd is a small ww, and Canelo is not a mw. This makes sense. The anti Floyd brigade is pissed, and I f#cking love it, lmmfao!

He will get a lot heat for this before and after the fight, but deservedly so. Whether we like to admit it or not, Canelo is a real middleweight. He struggles to make 154 lbs and will definitely have a hard time making 152 lbs. Floyd has managed to shot himself in the foot once again.

I agree with your statements. I do not see it as a disadvantage for Canelo because of his age also. I am just not a fan for catch-weight title fights.
