Floyd won't even weigh 152 on fight night. Canelo is big even for the 154 division and lets not forget he fought a 140LB at 154. Saying Floyd wants an advantage is kind of odd. Alvarez will still be the bigger and stronger guy. It is rather hypocritical of Floyd being that he trashed Pacquiao for it. At least Floyd is actually fighting the guy for his titles and not a vacant one. Mayweather has used catch weights before this one (Marquez). All in all. Fight is happening but the sad thing will be. Once Floyd wins all of his naysayers will use this as an excuse to down grade the win but Manny will still be considered great by them every though his wins that are praised most are at catch weights.

Seriously though, this is a damn good fight. Major props to Mayweather for making it. It's the fight everyone wanted, and above all else that's what people should care about.

I agree,for some reason I think Floyd is going to dominate Alvarez..I'm really interested to see if I'm right..This is the first time in a long time I'm excited about a Mayweather fight tbh..I always buy his PPV,but I'm have not been excited for one in some time..The Mosley fight was like the last time..Since May's opponent has not moved me..This tho is good,I can't wait to see this play out..The fight makes sense,has a great story line,and will be the biggest event of the yr no doubt about it..

agreed. my thing is in these types of situations someones gonna suffer. like with the dawson/ward fiasco one or both fighters where gonna be disadvantaged somehow. here, either floyd will be greatly outweighed or canelo will have to cut more weight etc. if the 2lbs was necessary to get the fight done, then so be it. it may not be ideal but it was probably the only way this fight would have happened. so some will hate, some will backtrack etc but w/e. we have a highly anticipated fight thats gonna put boxing on center stage.

this fight reminds me of whitaker/dlh in a lot of ways. sure that wasnt nearly the event this is but its very similar. some differences are i dont think canelo is as good as dlh honestly and while floyd has slipped a good deal, he looks nowhere near as vulnerable as pea was looking going into the the dlh fight. feels like im a kid all over again tho.
