Someone Explain Why Ward is Rated So High P4P?

Since according to a lot of posters on here Kessler and Froch are just B and C level fighters?

Add to that Ward didn't even want to fight #2 Bute, while Froch handled him no problem. Instead dragging down Dawson who got worked over by Pascal and KTFO by Miranda in sparring?

    Someone help me out here.

Yea you picked up on their ******ed logic. They claim Ward is great, but slam Froch and Kessler as much lesser fighters, not realising that that claim also affects Ward.

As a huge fan of both Ward and Froch, I can say Froch and Kessler are not B or C level fighters. Ward dominated 168 without much of a sweat, a pretty stacked division, with a string of opponents that i'd argue only comes second to Froch. That's why hes so highly rated.

Not to mention, though maybe it has no relevance here, I believe he hasn't lost a fight since he was 14 years old. It's hard to see him losing

I guess you won't get it since you're a moron. Just look at his resume.

Agree on your points. Not saying I agree with their logic but for those that believe Kessler and Froch are mediocre, how can Ward be so high?

        Beating Abraham?

So if Kessler and Froch are mediocre.....who does that leave? Dawson? Who got beat up by Johnson and Pascal?

Abraham...Bika....Green? If Froch and Kessler are mediocre what does that make these guys

Ward is #3 on my list.

I can't see how anyone can have Ward #1 when he's done nothing of note since he beat Froch in 2011.

And people saying Froch and Kessler are medicore are obviously morons.

Froch is a P4P calibur fighter. And Kessler is a top level fighter also.

A lot of people seem incapable of judging fighters on any basis other than their resume. Of course their resume is a big part of it, but you should be able to recognise the technical ability of a fighter regardless of what their resume is.

Rigo didn't suddenly become an elite fighter when he beat Donaire, he was an elite fighter already even if his resume was weak as hell. Matthysse didn't become a monster the night he beat Peterson, he was already a monster, but a lot of people didn't see it.

Resume matters, but there's a limit to the 'who's he fought' argument. Talent is talent.

so you were ready to rank doniare behind rigondeaux before they fought? that's silly and wrong.

you're missing the point, doc. there's a reason why they fight the fights.

in boxing you are what you accomplish. context. who did you beat and when? everything else is a means to and end.
