Looking at things it is somewhat funny ( and surprising). In the sense that a lot of people who rank Ward ahead of Floyd pound for pound cite Floyd's lack of activity. In the last 2 years they have both had 3 fights.

Because Ward ( until recently) is rarely criticised I overlooked his lack of activity, that being said I still rank him as top 1 or 2 pound for pound as his ability cannot be denied. Pound for pound, who do you think could beat Ward in a fight? You'd be hard pressed to find an opponent you can answer ''yes'' with certainty. I think there are maybe 3 opponents you could argue ''They could beat Ward weight being dismissed'' and they are Mayweather, Rigondeaux and Wlad.

I don't think Froch and Kessler are all that good to warrant Ward being so high on the P4P list...but I so greatly outnumbered on this opinion I don't even bring it up.

When I posted my list in the post below, I rated Ward #7.

I don't think highly of Froch or Kessler. I especially don't think highly of a win if the loser considered retirement before the fight.

                  Didn't want to fight Bute?

He had a legitimate point about Bute doing nothing besides fighting journeyman in Montreal while everyone in the tournament beat up on each other. The same thing people are slamming Ward on here for right now. But at least Ward fought a couple threats in his hometown. I guess Bute agreed, because he did end up traveling and got torched by Froch.

Because most people aren't biased or morons and give Ward proper credit for dominating one of the best divisions in boxing.

Besides, he didn't fight anyone else instead of Bute. He had the hand injury after the Froch fight, Bute fought Froch in the meantime, and he lost.
