If Canelo tired out from chasing a guy who doesnt move as much as Lara and doesnt hit as hard what do you think will happen vs Lara? Oh and btw there's the Canelo chin question mark too. Shaky chin + fatigue = a KO waiting to happen.

I don't see Lara as being so much better than Trout that it's a foregone conclusion he'll beat "Canelo." Erislandy is a very solid fighter, but he's no world beater. At this point, I think a match-up between him and Alvarez is very much up in the air. I didn't think that way before the Trout fight.

My impressions of Lara were never especially high, but they've come down a little from that somewhat modest level. Erislandy looked great against Williams, and he's blasted out a few inferior opponents, but he looked unimpressive against Molina and just okay versus Martirosyan. Lara is unpredictable. As you said, he seems to lack focus.

He didn't struggle with neither, he was sick against Molina with a tooth infection to the point that they want to call the fight off, he say he will fight, and couldn't train properly because of that and Shields was with Rigondeaux in Ireland,(still the only thing Molina did was hug his way to a draw and get all busted up for his effort) Vanes fight was by design,. let him throw all his $h1t and give him a lesson from the 5 or 6 on and ko him in the process, you know $h1t...

Then again you thought Donaire will win against Rigondeaux, while ppl that know boxing like Atlas was picking GR by schooling and the Cubans that knew GR from the amateurs, Lara is a heck of a fighter with a granite chin and power in both hands, specially when sitting on his punches...
