drop the green belt, please. what a piece of shit organization the wbc has become (not allowing unification). if mayweather doesn't want to fight him next or in the near future, he can keep his wba and ring belts and go after another belt like the ibf (fight the winner of molina/smith). this kid doesn't need them, they need him. hopefully alvarez does the right thing if sulaiman is serious.

well if none of the WBC champions are allowed to hold other belts then this rule should also apply to the female champs right?

Cecilia Braekhus is the WBC\WBA\WBO WW female champion. is he going to tell her to give up her title?

          Danny Garcia WBC\WBA JWW champ.

I dont see any other org. following suit here. the WBA, IBF and WBO all allow unifications and do not tell their champs that the have to pick one or the other.

          Rigo WBA\WBO SBW champ

          Froch IBF\WBA SMW champ

          Wlad Klit. WBA\IBF\WBO\IBO HW champ

          Estrada WBA\WBO FLYW champ

          GGG WBA\IBO MW champ

          Allakhverdiyev JWW WBA\IBO champ

these are the only unified champs right now in boxing.

With the WBC around there will never be a undisputed champ ever again.

If I were Canelo I would channel my inner Rid**** Bowe and throw the belt in the trash.

Sulaiman Has ALWAYS Been On The Tight & Crooked Side Of Things With Don King!

Screw the WBC.... you don't give up a title, your belt, no matter how many you have. You lose it in the ring. Sulaiman is a clown, a weasel. The WBC is as crooked as their friendly support, Don King, who has been very tight with Sulaiman for many years. Just ask Tito Trinidad, Julio Cesar Chavez, Tim Witherspoon, how much money they drained from both their bank accounts. If you want Canelo's WBC belt, then beat him in the ring, or find your belt in a trash dumpster.

Andre ward has already told the WBC to go **** themselves. Canelo should do the same.

Yeah no, if they didn't do anything after the first 15 days, their not going to do anything now...

Currently Canelo is top tier in popularity in current Mexican boxing. If Canelo does nothing and the WBC strips Canelo, the negative public backlash and PR against Sulaiman for stripping a Mexican champion will KO the WBC. Canelo knows this, Sulaiman knows this, the WBC knows this.

Canelo, who holds the WBC title at 154, captured the championship of the World Boxing Association (WBA) with a twelve round decision over Austin Trout on April 20th. On Tuesday morning Canelo traveled to Panama and met with WBA Vice President Gilberto Mendoza, who officially presented the Mexican superstar with his title belt. Sulaiman is going to give Canelo four to five days to make a decision.

Based on what Sulamain said, Alvarez should have been stripped of the WBC belt weeks ago since he was suppose to decide on which belt to keep in 15 days. I wonder why he wasn't stripped?

I hope he decides to dump the WBC belt. However, I am sure that he will keep it and give up the WBA belt. On the off chance that he does call Sulamain's bluff, I am sure that Sulamain will come up with some bullsh.t gold or platinum belt that he can fight for (and pay the sanctioning fee for) when he fights Floyd Mayweather in September.

It would be poetic justice if he decided to keep the WBC belt for the moment and then chose not to pay the sanctioning fee for a Mayweather fight, fighting instead for Mayweather's WBO belt and the Ring title.
