      I was underneath the HBO and Sky broadcast teams on Saturday and some guy was like;

      "Look there's Andre Ward!"

      And someone else went;

      "Andre Ward? Never heard of him. Who the **** is Andre Ward......?

      WHOOOOO THE ****ING HELL ARE YOU......."

      You can guess what comes next The whole side of the 02 screaming that at Ward.

      He was laughing though, he was laughing it up.

      Another guy tried to get "ARE YOU HOPKINS IN DISGUISE" going but it didn't quite take off

      Was great, the atmosphere last night was incredible. I was at Eubank-Benn in 1990 and it was absolutely comparable to that.

      Was my first UK fight for quite a while. I missed it, to be honest.

      Everyone around me was blind drunk by fight time haha.

              Ray, in the nicest possible way, you're a bit of a ****.

              I truly respect the knowledge you bring and reading the stories you share with us is a privilege. But you don't half have a chip on your shoulder with fighters outside of the US.

              P.S I'm expecting a Larry Merchant-esque response.

                Because all the fans have to travel so far, fights in the US tend to be a bit soulless by comparison. Hometown fights in Latin America tend to be amazing as well. JuanMa-Salido had an incredible atmosphere.

                    Thanks for sharing, good to see the British fans made Ward feel at home!

                    How come you don't attend many British fights? I know our quality of cards is lacking compared to the Americans but there are some great small hall shows at times and I could imagine the ticket prices being good too.

                      Ofcourse the name calling starts when the truth hurts! You know I get tired of hearing about B-class and second tier fighters from England and Europe being GREAT!!! We went through this years ago and it jumps up everytime some British promoters angles some "home fed" "ordinary talent" kid a shot at a title! We heard Hatton was an ATG, really! Now the Froch vs Kessler is an ATG match between two of the best "super" (ordinary) middleweights?
                      If you learn to evaluate the skills used in boxing and if their prformed with a high degree of technical skills you'll foind that most of the young men are ordinary talents! I'm NOT attacking them personally everyone has a talent level that can be reached and we can't exceed our abilities but these young men are NOT highly talented thats all I'm saying and in regards to the way one of the best ATG Middleweight Champs was treated that counrty will be remembered for their actions!!!

                      heres your responce dmize, imagine getting your azz kicked by a ****? haha

                      your name calling just enhances why I think the Brit fans (ofcourse not all) are chanting, drunken wannabees! Ballz in numbers and safe ast home but when ventured in front of talent get the **** kicked out of them. Home cooking tasts great but stay their when your talent level isn't very high. Then maybe your fan bases will know who is a really high skilled talent from a club fighter to B-level competitor! Ordinary is ordinary and the ordinary can't see beyond themselves! Ray
