I don't see anything wrong with what he said. Lucas was the one who said that he wasn't going to look for a early KO in this fight but that's exactly what he was trying to do. He was slugging with Pederson and caught him. He didn't really show any skill in his fight with Pederson. He showed that he has insane power for 140.

Everytime Matthysse misses, what does Peterson do? He moves out the way and resets. He didn't plant his feet one time. He's even moving and throwing the jabs, instead of stepping in with them. Clear signs of someone that just wants to get out of round 1 with a lead on the scorecards.

If you were Matthysse, you'd be throwing all the shots you wanted to.

P.S. Lucas knew that Peterson felt his power in the 1st round with the big hooks he landed towards the end of the round, so he started his attack in the 2nd. Step by step, Lucas knew what he was doing in there, and he executed his game to perfection.
Doesn't matter what happened in round 1 of that particular fight. You just said mathysse is a defensively responsible fighter and he is never in a position to get countered.
Bro do you even box ? Lol

I didn't say he was never in a position to get countered in a general basis. Sr. is clearly critiquing Matthysse from the 1st round, since that's the only round where he didn't look stellar. So, I pointed out that he was in no position to get countered, and his defense was pretty damn good in that round too.

What was the biggest blow Peterson landed in the 1st round? I rest my case.

In the 2nd round, yes, he was in position to get hit, and wasn't as defensively responsible, because he pressed the attack, and had Peterson hurt with a right hand. Right then and there, it was kill mode. Nothing Peterson could've done from that point.

And yes, when Lucas is straight boxing, and not on the attack, he's defensively responsible. You are highly underrating his skills. You act as if he eats jabs for breakfast when he's gauging his opponents distance and timing.

Setting traps, throwing in certain spots, missing or not, to get Peterson to another spot. Also, whether he missed or not, means nothing. He's never in a position to get countered. Peterson bends his knees too much, so Lucas knew he was going to get to him eventually. Lucas knew what he was doing in there, and could read what type of fighter Peterson was from the 1st round.

          Matthysse played his game brilliantly.
Exactly. But Sr,Jr and their minions seem to think there is only one way to be a boxer. The Mayweather way. If not, you're not practicing the sweet science.

You are highly overrating his skills he is a big puncher who is able to close the distance on people because once they feel his power they don't throw with enough authority to keep him off. Defensive wizard he is not.

at people thinking you have to be a defensive wizard to be defensively responsible.

Matthysse is an offensively minded fighter, meaning he will get tagged on occasion. Being defensively responsible just means that he will try to limit what his opponents can hit him with while also trying to land his own shots (bombs). You can see it in his head movement, how he cups his gloves to his head and picks off shots, how he judges distance etc. Bungalows isnt saying hes Floyd, just that he isnt Brandon Rios.

Another example of an offensively minded fighter who is responsible defensively imo would be someone like Broner (not that he fights like Matthysse)... his main aim is to hit and hurt people, but he isnt going to take needless punishment to achieve it.

Lucas aint kno shiet, quit makin up stories. He was on his way to gettin ooutboxed, when Peterson leaned into him and started making it a dog fight. Peterson always does that and Lucas can easily get outboxed. What happened, happened.
