It just takes so damn long watching Sr's interviews..

I'm over here trying to bare with him, but DAMN.... How much can I take lol

It takes sooo long to get a sentence out, by the time I'm halfway through the interview, I've wasted my time, learned nothing and heard a bunch of "ummms".

        This schit is ridiculous.

The flaw in Sr's critic is, he's looking at the fight through the eyes of defense first, counter punching trainer. He's not seeing that fight through the eyes of an attack first, defensive responsible fighter like Matthysse. Setting traps, throwing in certain spots, missing or not, to get Peterson to another spot. Also, whether he missed or not, means nothing. He's never in a position to get countered. Peterson bends his knees too much, so Lucas knew he was going to get to him eventually. Lucas knew what he was doing in there, and could read what type of fighter Peterson was from the 1st round.

          Matthysse played his game brilliantly.

What makes you say that? Dwyer gives Matthyse credit.

No bad I thought he was really bad after reading the first 3 or 4 contribution from posters on the first page. But I so think Matthyse is more than his punching power, the problem is him not falling in love with it.

Watch that fight again. Tell me one time in the 1st round where Lucas was in threat to get countered. Lucas could read from the opening bell, what type of fight Peterson was trying to play. He didn't let Peterson set his feet one time, and knew Peterson's stance wasn't showing him any signs of being countered.

Everytime Matthysse misses, what does Peterson do? He moves out the way and resets. He didn't plant his feet one time. He's even moving and throwing the jabs, instead of stepping in with them. Clear signs of someone that just wants to get out of round 1 with a lead on the scorecards.

If you were Matthysse, you'd be throwing all the shots you wanted to.

P.S. Lucas knew that Peterson felt his power in the 1st round with the big hooks he landed towards the end of the round, so he started his attack in the 2nd. Step by step, Lucas knew what he was doing in there, and he executed his game to perfection.
