He wouldn't make 40m, that was for him to split with TR. It'd be more like 29m, a 12% raise or so. So yea, of course Floyd would make more than 2x.

its all in how you look at it:

Pac iwould never earn that much for a fight so you can argue yes.

Pac is also a huge star and the $40 mil is about 1/3rd of the take so no.

What it comes down to for me is simple: floyd got the short end for selling the hell out of the ODH fight and making it so big-he took a short term loss for long term gain.

      Manny could've done the same.

Which is why taking that offer would have been moronic on Pac's part, and anyone pretending that was a great offer is flat out wrong.

But is it on floyd to make up for manny's ****ty deal? Manny surely isn't doing that for tim or JMM so why should he have it done for him?

Yeah but Oscar was by far the bigger draw then, Mayweather was only slightly more then Pac.

SPecious argument because floyd sold the fight-not ODH. floyd would be selling this one too-not manny.

I agree manny is a huge draw-but we should also agree he is NEVER seeing $40 mil.

It may not be fair to manny, but it wasn't fair to floyd either. If he wants the big payday he will do what is necessary.

Typical. when you don't have a response accuse a floyd fan of never saying he did anything wrong. Go ahead with that childish **** dude.

Not Floyd's fault Pac would have to surrender some 27% to Arum, lets say. That's why they need to start with a more reasonable upfront split, like 55/45 or 53/47 or something, none of this flat fee crap. Even under 50/50, Floyd walks away with a lot more.

Mayweather is going to make more no matter how u look at it. He doesn't have to pay a Bob Arum. Didn't someone post a new york times article in which schaffer said Floyd pays GB a 10 mil dollar fee (logistics) basically takes a percentage of every shirt, hot dog, promotions, etc. Manny would and will never make as much as Floyd as long as he was with Arum....and his bs 6 to 8 mil dollar purses
