yes, positive news but, until fight is signed, it's all a bit pointless!

Or better yet, he should fight Canelo in 2016.

The longer this fight takes to make, the more it will benefit Canelo. Floyd should make the fight later this year. Who gives a **** about Lara/Angulo? Canelo has all the time in the world to fight one or both of those guys down the road.

HIs 2 best wins, beating cotto in December 2012 (and remember waht you've said about cotto at that point in his career) and beating Delvin Rodriguez, makes him better than Genaro, Hatton, Castillo, Corrales or Zab when they fought floyd?

Dude, read what Bushbaby was saying, he was not comparing Floyd's opponents to Trout's opponents, he was comparing Floyd's opponents to Trout himself.

Thanks I didn't know ... so am I you ****ing idiot.

I am saying that Trout; to date his 2 best wins are cotto and delvin. How does that make him better than Genaro, Hatton, Castillo, Corrales or Zab when they fought floyd?

Your bringing up the opponents of Trout...I'm saying, look at Trout's skillset and compare that. Hatton, Castillo, and Corrales were very easy to hit, unlike Trout. The only ones that stand next to Trout and may be slightly better at the time they fought Floyd is Oscar and Genaro. Trout's size and skillset are something that Floyd has rarely seen and on the side note, Canelo proved himself with taking that fight.

he might as well be, he won't do any better
Alvarez wins 3 rds max, Floyd otherwise rolls him
the guy won't find Floyd with any big power punches
he's slow, hittable, and lacks stamina
Oscar has a fight to sell, but he's kidding himself thinking Alvarez wins it

Vise Versa...Mayweather aint no Trout neither, much quick, much more talented, much more skilled and much more smarter...and Vegas is not Texas, your not going to have Score Cards Already Filled Out In Your Favor going into the fight and With Open Scoring to Throw Your Opponent Off And Effecting The Way he Fights

I know fans just love talking **** about Mayweather I get all that but lets not get crazy here, Mayweather is Mayweather and when it comes to pure Boxing Skills in that ring Canelo is not even on the same planet as Mayweather

This is why I think he should take that fight and say to hell with the weight, let him come in at 172 or what ever, he has no footwork he can't cut the ring off, he can't fight inside to take advantage of his weight advantage, he jab is average and his Stamina is AWFUL, take the fight and just ***in school this young fighter just because you can and make an example out of him so all his fan can come back and say "ALL MAYWEATHER DID WAS RUN THAT IS WHY HE BEAT CANELO"

Then they can go back to the Matthysse Bandwagon and say "MAYWEATHER DUCKING MATTHYSSE" or "Mayweather Fought Canelo Who Was 172, He Might As Well Fight GGG At 160" so the hate is not going to stop, fans will always find a bandwagon to pile on so they can remain Anti-Mayweather lol

But thats not the bottom line. The bottom lines is fights are made to prove who the best is. Otherwise, lets just make a list of all the fighters Mayweather can beat and anyone else for that matter and never have him fight again. Fights are watched for skills and action and what is on paper, doesn't always turn out that way in the ring. Anything can happen. But saying a guy doesn't have the skills of another guy or doesn't deserve it when the guy is clearly one of the best, doesn't negate the need for the fight.

What's that have to do with anything??Mayweather might feel it benefits him to fight at 147lb he has been moving up and down and that is no easy feat..Either way it does not mean Alvarez is stronger then Mayweather..Funny enough I did not think Alvarez was stronger then Trout..Yet he did not need to be,he displayed better skills then Trout..As I think May will display better skills then Alvarez..
