I just don't think Kessler is the same fighter he was a few years ago. Froch is still in his prime and only been fighting championship fights/fighters since 2009, despite his age, while Kessler has been at the top for a decade now (beat his first champion the same year Froch made his pro debut!). Maybe he'll prove me wrong. Either way, I hope it's a great fight.Comment

A lot of people forget how easily Froch was out pointed by Ward no more than 1,5 years ago. He looked slow, sluggish and past it. He then had an epic victory over a Bute who was shook from the first bell and Mack who was a fringe contender at best. All I'm saying is that Kessler has put a devastating beating on all of his opponents since the Froch fight. He's not past it by any means, and neither is Froch.I just don't think Kessler is the same fighter he was a few years ago. The Boxing Monthly experts poll certainly felt a bit comfortable and British-biased to me....and that's coming from a Brit.
Liking and respecting Carl as an exciting, successful fighter and a top lad is one thing but the real issue is whether he wins the fight or not.
Nobody on the panel was prepared to stick their neck out and go for Kessler; which is slightly crazy considering he is already 1-0 in this series and appears to be injury free and completely focussed on his boxing.
Magee's view was refreshing and convincing.....but having said that I am not convinced he has got it right. I am expecting Carl to box and **** and deliver a far smarter fight this time round.
Would really like to know what Groves thinks as well.Comment
